Hi, Thanks for your help on finding neutral tone. I have made as many changes as I can find that might lean to one direction or another without credible sources--a few changes since the recent decline. I want to get your advice before going through the submission process again. Is there anything specific I can do on this article that would remove any "promotional" tone? Do I need to go into detail about his company's bankruptcy to show more of the negative? In my research, it seems like he used to have a wikipedia page, but it was under his former name, and then was deleted by an editor whose account was deleted as a sock puppet. I appreciate your feedback in advance and hope to become a better writer! thank you :) HeatherRBI (talk) 00:03, 6 July 2017 (UTC)HeatherRBI[reply]

Hello, Heather. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. If the material regarding the bankruptcy is significant, then it really should be added. But other than that, I'm not seeing much in the way of non-neutral language. However, I'm also not seeing much in the way of notability. The draft essentially reads like Kane's resumé. And the only thing that strikes me as "encyclopedic" about Kane is his involvement with Code Rebel, for which we already have an article. I would not accept your draft for publication, but perhaps some other reviewer will. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:23, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I was told, that this is not an adoption site. That was the same note as earlier, and I specified, the animal, in this case Kip Dynamite the hairless guinea pig, is not up for adoption.

Nickevgeniou (talk) 03:29, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nick. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. You say that ol' Kip is not up for adoption. Okay, but ... exactly why does Wikipedia need an article about this pig? I'll be very interested in hearing your response. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:29, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I want this draft to become an article soon. Please help.

BugMenn (talk) 05:18, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, BugMenn. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Frankly, I don't see much chance of this ever being accepted for publication. The subject is just one of thousands of electronics retailers that exist throughout the world. There is nothing in the submission that gives the reader any reason to think there is something unique or "encyclopedic" about this one. And the fact the sourcing is coming largely from one particular journalist doesn't help any. Nor does referencing a source that discusses the hotel that stands next-door to one of the subject's outlets. Perhaps another reviewer will see things differently, so feel free to re-submit your draft. But I would not accept it for publication. I recognize that this is not the response you were hoping to get and, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:48, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have added alot of resources and improved the article I am still not clear upon the claims that had the article declined at the first place. What is the essence of promotionalism that the reviewer talked about? I have checked through the sources and they are not press releases and published with reputed newspapers and journals. What is the criteria to consider something as "Press Release"?

@Coxnix: Given the article has been sent to AfD four times and deleted four times with the last AfD being incredibly comprehensive (and the deletion review backing the closure) you are going to have a hard time putting an article up. If I'm being honest, you would be better off leaving it and spending your time elsewhere. If you find this topic interesting, perhaps you might want to host this content on your own blog or website? Also, a press release is literally that- where a news site has simply regurgitated information provided by the company. jcc (tea and biscuits) 16:31, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the article declined in the English Wikipedia? I translated and improved the German entry. Divanova (talk) 10:32, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Renate Kordon was rejected because, as it says in the rejection notice at the top, it has no lead section. English Wikipedia articles are required to have a lead section (which may be the entire article, or may summarise the rest of the article). Rules may be different in German Wikipedia. Maproom (talk) 11:13, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Divanova the simplest way to fix this problem is to remove the "Life and Work" section heading. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:46, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have created an article in relation to the name Timmins. There is already an article with this title that refers to the City of Timmins in Ontario Canada, the founder of the city had the surname Timmins. Also there is an article title "Timmins (surname)" which seems to be just a list of people with the surname of Timmins. Due to existing Wikipedia entries I am seeking advice on what the title of my article should be called?

Thanks, Tony Timmins

Tonytea51 (talk) 15:17, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tony. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. It looks to me that you should be adding your material into the already-existing article Timmins (surname). Then, that article would include your material, as well as the relatively short list of articles about people with that surname. After doing so, some technical edits will be needed, so as to reclassify the article as something other than a "set index" article. If you need assistance with the latter, feel free to drop a note on my Talk page after you've inserted your material. NewYorkActuary (talk) 17:06, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tonytea51 I have merged your draft into the existing Timmins (surname) article. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 17:10, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have provided adequate reliable references for the above subjects notability. A person who saved people during riots, built a blood bank to serve humanity etc. has earned notability in my view although I tried providing relevant references. But still I found some newspaper cut outs on https://tajallieshahabblog.wordpress.com/in-news/ and I tried finding the archive of those relevant news articles on respective news paper website but that are not available but these news paper cut outs are available on the above mentioned website but I am not sure if that can be cited as a reference? your kind help will be highly appreciated. Thanks Ubaid1salfi (talk) 16:21, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ubaid. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The link that you included above appears to contain not only the "cut outs", but also links to the web sites that host the same content. In those cases, you're probably better off citing the original sources and not the blog. But if a "cut out" does not have a link, and if the "cut out" does not provide the necessary bibliographic data (i.e., when it was published and on what page of the newspaper), then using the blog as a reference will probably not be acceptable to most reviewers (it certainly won't be for me). I hope this response has been helpful. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:52, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can comeone please look at the article I'm working on in my sandbox https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Newfocusnow/sandbox Please bare with me while I explain as to why Im seeking help due to the subjects name is protected by an admin already. The admin whom protected the name did act in good faith as you can see the logs state it is spam, 'promo, ETC. Which has all been cleared via Wikipedia invesgations that the subject (kris degioia) was not apart of any of the actions listed in the logs. It's quite appernt that many people including now myself has tried to many an afc have found her more then noteable but also her references are legit. Also to note she defended herself at one for having it removed to begin with. What no one else can understand also is why the main page for her from 5 years ago was not only taken down but also there are no logs of that page... only the ones after her cyberstalking Case ended keeps getting pulled down, but yet there's no trace of the one from five years prior nor the reason it was removed.. If anything now she has more credibility now then the first one that created 5 years ago and deleted 13 months ago. The fact that it was up for that long with no disputes what so ever and then poof deleted raises many more questions and concerns. From an outsider looking in seems as if someone is attempting to do everything in his or her power (by looking at the logs) to make sure she does not have a Wikipedia page. The reasons for that are not clear as it's rejected due to many fake accounts, that are using the wrong references point back to the afc from 11 months ago, not 5 years ago. For sanities sake I will keep these questions regarding why I'm here to many ones that have been deleted recently. (1) to date she was the youngest senior vp at google.( 2) Also to date she is the victim of one of biggest federal stalking Case in history. That is not an opinion it is a fact. (3) she is the ceo of a global marketing firm for over 3 years. (4) she is listed as an influencer on every social platform in existence. Along with being listed in Forbes twice, entrepreneur magazine, holds 6 AVA awards, 9 socckie awards (no not sockpuppet awards) but socckies, and many other awards. Also she has been interviewed on Several reputable talk shows and radio shows. (5) she actually formed a foundation (with celebrity mykle hawke), and attorney Alexis moore, whom is also as known cyberstalking victim, author and advocate, to help of vitctims cyberbullying, stalking and bullying in general. (5) her foundation CSI Awareness is one of the only foundations in this nature that does not just offer emotional support, but actually developed 5 different types of software that enables them to know exactly who the perp is. (6) that same software she took infront of senate to be approved for law enforcement to hthat is used by law enforcement to use. (7) at that very same senate hearing she spoke right after Ashton Kutcher for thorn software (7) with csi software combined with thorns she has been able to help thorn in 3 sex traffic cases she is cited in national cases (8) she re wrote the entire syllubs on Digital marketing for 3 colleges. The list goes on and on. I can not wrap my brain around why no one cared to point out these facts, and noted them as promotional or spam. How in the world is any of that promotional or spam??? also as to why no one else finds it beyond noteable or honorable. If any of the volunteers here at Wikipedia has their child being bullied and had exhausted all efforts with law enforcement or the schools who would you go to? Where would you find resources for up to date help? Answer wouldn be: Kris degioia and her foundation. and so is also listed under the definition on Wikipedia for cyberstalking and cyberbullying. With all of that said, and the links to back it up how is she not even listed as an advocate on here? And how is any of that promotional? Any part of that not give her the credit she deserves? Because a lot of people have to tried to make a page under her name, over the past year alone and they are poorley written? Because one of those people who made a page after her trial was listed as a sock puppet, even though she had nothing to do with it and it'd been proven by Wikipedia she never paid anyone? Or is it the saying "the more you speak the truth the most people will try to discredit you, and shut you down" true? I am a journalist that is always seeking the truth and while writing an arictle on cyberstalking I came here to Wikipedia and needless to say was in shock at all I found regarding Kris Degioia. I am in no way shape or form affiliated with her or her foundation, the paper I write for has written many articles on her (for full disclosure) I do not want to be marked as spam or banned like the others for writing her page, as I did not come here for that reason I only found it as a journalist to point out all the facts and write article I saw all of the logs. I am sorry If this seems like a rant as that was not my intention

Newfocusnow (talk) 16:23, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Newfocus. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. I haven't read your entire lengthy posting here -- I stopped after your claim that User:Krisdegioia had been "cleared via Wikipedia investigations". The record shows that this user had been indefinitely blocked in January of this year and that their user page was deleted twice -- within one week in October 2016 -- for being an inappropriate use of Wikipedia space. But if you feel that your draft will make a suitable article for Wikipedia, feel free to submit it for review. Thanks again for your interest in Wikipedia. How do I link the photo that I uploaded to this article? Thanks,

Hello, Updater. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Which photo are you asking about? NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:18, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Updater500. Wikipedia:Picture tutorial explains how you can use File:John Allen Hendricks.jpg in Draft:John Allen Hendricks. More important than the picture is that the draft doesn't appear to cite any independent, reliable, secondary sources. It cites Wikipedia, which is user-generated and therefore not reliable, and many things written by Hendricks, which are not independent. Instead look for sources that demonstrate that Hendricks passes The Professor Test, such as reviews in scholarly journals of his work. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:09, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How many links are required within in an article? I'm just wondering if my page will need more links or if the amount that I have is enough. Nmmoore (talk) 22:58, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nm. Congratulations on the publication of your draft. I've removed the "underlinked" banner -- the ones that you added seem sufficient. However, you might want to spend some time becoming familiar with our {{cite web}} template, because a good many of your references look sloppy (particularly those that have bare URLs appearing after the bibliographic data). Using the citation template will make it easier to collect the essential bibliographic detail and will also present that information in a pre-formatted style. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:25, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How were you able to add a hyperlink on to the article titles. Every time i try the resources turn blue and i cannot make any edits to them.

Hello again, Nm. I'm assuming this is you, because you didn't sign your post. I'm also not sure what you're asking here. Which "article titles" do you mean? NewYorkActuary (talk) 23:55, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
