Here's my draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Explain_Everything

Hello! I'm wondering what made the Explain Everything draft I wrote seems so (for lack of a better word) advertise-y. I basically copied the structure of other similar apps' wikis like Prezi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prezi

Is there a particular change that could be made to make it more neutral? Maybe cutting down the history portion? Eliminating the features? It seems like they have a pretty decent number of sources and reviews with Forbes and Techrunch (don't know how I didn't use those the first go round).

Anyway, thanks in advance for the advice! I'd really like to improve my wikipedia style writing! Seanhinkle (talk) 14:07, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Sean. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. I see that you have already asked for clarification from the person who reviewed your draft and I trust you will receive a response in the near future. For now, I've taken a look at the draft and found that I, too, would have declined it for its overly promotional slant. The biggest problem that I see is the entire Products/Features section, which does indeed read like a brochure for the product. As for the rest of the draft, the history of the company's funding is unencyclopedic (because all companies must secure financing from one source or another, and the particular source of venture capital rarely deserves encyclopedic notice). And after the product-brochure section and the source-of-funds material has been removed, there is very little left to sustain an article. On a different note, I see that the company's web site includes postings from an employee with the same name as you. If you have not done so already, you should read our conflict-of-interest guidelines. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 16:12, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NewYork, thanks for your response! I'm completely new to editing Wikipedia, so I managed to miss the conflict-of-interest guidelines! I'll be sure to correct that. Thanks a lot for your advice! Seanhinkle (talk)

Hi. I am requesting that a page be created for GOODRX.COM. I have no experience in the wikiprocess and do not have the time or desire to become involved. However, the GOODRX is used as Reference on Wiki. More importantly, it provides a fantastic service to the public.

This website is used as a Reference here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_control_pill_formulations https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methadone

It is provides an External Link here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrimethamine

I first came across the site while looking for the lowest price on a medication I needed. I refrained from clicking on the coupons because I assumed it was some sort of scam. Later, I tried a coupon at a national chain drug store and although I had paid $120 there the previous month I only had to pay $16. I never had to give any information to GOODRX. I only had to submit the coupon once to the drug store and I have only had to pay the $16 each month since for that prescription.

When I did initially get the coupon, I remember reading through the ABOUT page on the GOODRX site. I only vaguely remember the details, but I thought it said is was founded by someone who had worked at a major internet company, perhaps Google or Apple, but when I looked it up today that information does not seem to be available on the GOODRX site.

I tried to find out the history of GOODRX by first going to Wiki. I always go to several souces when I am trying to get information, but Wiki is usually one of my first destinations. I was surprised that there is not a page for GOODRX.

I hope my request finds a person who is motivated to create a page.

Thank you all for your fine work.

Can you move it from draft to main article. 2600:8803:7A00:19:B1D6:A74D:9E61:CFB3 (talk) 23:43, 9 February 2017 (UTC) 2600:8803:7A00:19:B1D6:A74D:9E61:CFB3 (talk) 23:43, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, IP address. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The draft's sole reference is a bad link and the entire body of the draft is nothing but blank sections. These are major problems that should be addressed before the draft is accepted for publication. NewYorkActuary (talk) 02:17, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
