I made a page for John Hansen as I feel his contributions to literature and philosophy are noteworthy.

He is a Korean-American and not many are involved with literature, philosophy, and non-fiction genres. His work has appeared in The Summerset Review a high-tier literary journal and other highly publicized journals.

Moreover, he has made contributions to other wikipedia pages: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_American_Scholar (under further readings) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Unbearable_Lightness_of_Being (under references).

Is it possible to place the information in this draft under Korean-American scholars or writers or something educational? Any other ideas for publishing such information on John Hansen?

To be the subject of a Wikipedia biography, a person must have gained significant attention by the world at large, have attracted significant coverage in independent reliable sources. If they have not done so, Wikipedia is not the place to publicize them or "get the word out". Neutral point of view requires that editors set aside their personal opinions about what is noteworthy. If you are correct about Hansen, then eventually people will recognize it and things will happen that make him pass the professor test.
In principle, a non-notable Hansen could be mentioned in an article that is not about Hansen, but it's hard to see how that could be done without running afoul of other policies and guidelines, such as WP:NOTADIRECTORY and WP:UNDUE. Very brief neutral annotations are allowed in "Further reading" sections to explain the relevance of an item. A phrase such as "- Hansen teaches English at Mohave Community College" might be acceptable in The American Scholar. Other than that, I suggest you try alternative outlets if you want to write about Hansen. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:44, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it was t he text was missing! Then trying to edit there are boxes to click that are not there. I'm trying to add the same photo from a site I'm updating and this seems to be extremely complicated. I don't see how average people use this, sorry that's just the way I feel.I watched the instructional but that does not really explain the whole process very well. I should be able to copy and paste the file of what I want to upload, right? I am having problems with that even.[reply]

I have rewritten this to make it encyclopaedic. Is this okay?

TreeView is a family history software package for Windows and Mac [1] published in the U.K. by S&N Genealogy Supplies publishers of information resources to family historians. The software is able to sync online and with an app for iOS and Android.[2]

I would like to know why my article about my hometown has been rejected as the Wikipedia has a few articles about other small towns in the nearby such as Thari Mirwah? As far as sources are concerned, I am committed to improving the article on regular basis until it reaches perfection. Therefore, it is earnestly requested that my article be approved as it is my first endeavor and such outright rejection would have discouraging effeects on me. Hello @Medidator:, that's not how drafting works, you can't simply write a bare beginning and ask us to improve it so you can "finish it later". You need to finish your draft, with proper sourcing and enough information, then we will approve it. If you get "discouraging effects", that's not our problem, so if you want there to be an article about your village, it is up to you to keep yourself encouraged. I strongly suggest you check through news articles online, check GoogleBooks, etc. to find good strong sources that discuss interesting facts about the village. How do I submit my conflict of interest form and where do I find it/ how do I resolve it?

Hi Bchamrick, When you have a conflict of interest, one of two templates should be placed on the talk page of the draft/article you're editing, i.e. Draft talk:Aaron Wolf. WP:DISCLOSE explains when to use which template and describes how to fill them out. It's a bit technical. If you find it confusing, start with a free-form declaration of your conflict of interest on your user page, User:Bchamrick. The important things to disclose are:
  1. Whether you are being compensated or expect to be compensated for editing, and
  2. The general nature of your close connection to the topic (you're writing about a family member, you're writing about someone in your circle of friends, you have a financial interest in the subject, etc.)
