  • Language: de:Böllhoff
  • New name: Böllhoff
  • Note: English article will be a translation, the translation is finished and can be implemented as soon the import has happen
  • Note by importing administrator: Unfortunately, I can't do that, because there should be no non-English articles in the article namespace of Wikipedia. Either I can import the article somewhere in your userspace (if you have an account), or you can submit the translation and I can do the import later. Either way, it would be easier if you had an account. Graham87 05:29, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

According to me, the article is finished now! --Kantischüler (talk) 12:47, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

Yes I would like the edits from the German Wikipedia to be imported into the userspace and that the view history would be importet. Must I first write the article in English? Verena.Johann (talk) 09:56, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

OK, I've imported it to User:Verena.Johann/Gunther Hartmann, where you can translate it. Graham87 13:52, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

Good day, I have now translated the articles in the English language. Sorry my english is not very good. Should I have the text translated by a translator or are you coming along with it? Verena.Johann (talk) 10:17, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

May I ask, why are you so keen to have a Wikipedia article on him? Do you have a conflict of interest of some kind? The article does need quite a bit of cleanup – some of which I can do, some of which would require a German speaker who is more fluent in English than you are – but I just don't see what he's done so far to deserve an article here ... he's a good doctor who has won a couple of awards in Germany and sits on the board of an international organisation ... perhaps the standards at the English Wikipedia are a bit more strict than those at its German-language counterpart? I mean, I *could* clean up the article and move it to the main namespace right now, but I don't see why I should. Graham87 15:14, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
If acceptable, I would be willing to help clean up the article in user space. I think being joint winner of the highly prestigious Leibniz Prize (source:http://www.dfg.de/en/funded_projects/prizewinners/leibniz_prize/2012/hartmann_kurts/) alone is sufficient to establish notability. I have no connections with either the user or the subject. --Boson (talk) 18:15, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
I have cleaned up the translation a bit. It still needs some work but I think it is good enough for main space now. --Boson (talk) 20:05, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Hello Graham, Prof. Hartmann is my boss. I got the contract to provide his articles in the English wikipedia. Prof. Hartmann stands in the interest of the public at the international level. Because of his research projects he is much traveling abroad. Furthermore he travels a lot because of lectures, advisory boards, symposia, leaderships, meetings and other important deadlines. Gladly I can hire a translator to overhaul the article. I think it would be of interest to many English people to read the English article about Prof. Hartmann. Verena.Johann (talk) 06:59, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I missed the Leibniz Prize when I checked out the article last night. Indeed, that definitely means he merits inclusion in the English Wikipedia. Thanks, Boson, for cleaning up the translation; I've done a few more tweaks on it and moved it to the main namespace.
Verena, you haven't done anything wrong as such, but you must know that paid editing like what you've done for your boss is very controversial on the English Wikipedia. From now on, it would be best if you discussed any further changes you want to make to Professor Hartmann's article on its talk page. I for one will be keeping an eye on it (along with the article). Thank you very much Graham, Is it right, that the changes they are performed on German will now automatically accepted? I'll try to arrange with you before I make changes. 131.220.35.47 (talk) 12:37, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

No, that is not the case. Changes to the German and English versions will have to be made separately. Graham87 15:28, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Done. --Davidh2k (talk) 16:42, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
