Smartdraw question : how to delete a column

[edit]

I use Smartdraw at work to make project charts to make schedules, but there does not seem to be a way to delete a column. So if, for instance, a week goes by [October 15-22] all I can do is hide the columns, but I cannot just delete them even if the job(s) in those weeks are completed. Does this make sense? And is there a way to delete? As is the document is getting pretty flakey, since I have hidden columns all the way back since July. Thanks in advance, Saudade7 00:03, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to a SmartDraw reference book, you have to select the column you want to delete then click the Delete button on the Table tab. From there, a menu opens with the choices Remove Row, Remove Column, Delete Contents of Row and Delete Contents of Column. Choose "Remove Column". Hope this helps! --.Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡) 03:26, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks .Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡). I had read that too and originally tried it, but alas all the options under the Table Tab were grey and not clickable. Othertimes when it said that I could delete things elsewhere, when I clicked it said I had to delete using the smart panel, but there was no delete option in the smart panel. really lame. Looks like all the other pages say the same things, too. They have a support page on their official site. You could try asking them directly there. --.Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡) 21:41, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong MP3 details being displayed by Windows Media Player

[edit]

For some reason, sometimes, when I set an MP3's data under "Details", when I play it on Windows Media Player, the details displayed will be completely different, sometimes showing data for a completely different song! For example, if I have a song called "Foobar" by a singer named "John Doe" and composed by "John Q. Public", and set the "Details" data accordingly, when I play the file on WMP, the song will still be titled "Foobar", but the names of the artist and composer displayed are completely different names! In one extreme example, the MP3 will have an album image (again, totally unrelated to the song), but originally it did not have one. Strangely, when I check the MP3's "Details" data using the Properties window, the details are unchanged. Is this some sort of bug on WMP? As for the technical details, my computer is a Sony VAIO E Series Laptop running Windows 8. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:59, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Try setting the metadata with a dedicated ID3 editor, rather than Windows' own tool. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 11:52, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
