Hi Zafar,

I have been editing Wikipedia for over two years now. Dear, we have to keep the size of the page as less as possible to ensure quick opening of the page. Every text occupies some space on the page. The List of songs recorded by Shreya Ghoshal page has already a bulky size (as there are numerous songs of Shreya Ghoshal). Thus, its necessary to reduce the size of page as much as possible by removing unnecessary data.

Besides, you must notice that in the non-film songs section wherever the song and the album name are same, "Title Song" is not mentiones in there. Example:- Ye Meri Life Hai, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. While in the album Saraswatichandra the title and song name are different, so there is a mention of "Title Song" in there.

I hope your query has been sorted now.

Warm Regards,
Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia (talk) 08:05, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Ok dear. Thanks. @Ayush Gupta At Wikipedia: Zafar24Talk 08:25, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

The Notes Section on the page List of songs recorded by Shreya Ghoshal.

Hi,

Dear, notes section are made for information which does not matters much. References are instant sources of information and informations on it also act as clarification for any certain type of example. Example: The songs of the TV Shows, "Bhabhi" and "Son Pari", both may confuse people if they don't come to know that the song was re-recorded. Besides, if the information is provided in NOTES, no one goes down to read it. Infact, I'm going to update the page, remove the notes section and add references at the proper locations so that its easy for the readers.
And please dear, its not your closet or room, which you are ARRANGING PROPERLY, its a page for readers and they must get all the information in the easiest way they can.

Shreya Ghoshal's birthplace

Shreya's birthplace is Baharampur, which is headquarters of Murshidabad district of Bengal. This is confirmed by all sources. (I have placed a source from Saavn which is a reliable one.) All sources agree with that. Murshidabad is not a xity. There is of course a very small town by same same in Murshidabad district. If Shreya has herself stated her birthplace as Murshidabad in a Times of India article), might be she is referring to Murshidabad district as Ghoshal's official website http://www.shreyaghoshal.com too mentioned Baharampur as her birthplace. You can check that. Regards. Vibhss (talk) 14:52, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

HI Dear, @Vibhss:here is the source: http://www.timesofindia.com/entertainment/hindi/music/news/I-like-my-father-being-the-boss-in-my-life-Shreya/articleshow/27854121.cms She clearly mention that she was born in Murshidabad at her nani's house. So Murshidabad is in Murshidabad district.

And you said, :if main city is Murshidabad, there is absolutely no need to mention the district. Please note that, The people living in India knows about Indian places but International fans of Shreya Ghoshal needs to know her full address of Shreya Ghoshal's birth place. Zafar24Talk 18:05, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

@Zafar24: Hi. You are a worthy contributor on article Shreya Ghoshal and I appreciate that very much. You expanded and improved that article to a large extent. I am thankful and indebted to you for that. But this time I think you are going wrong.

Firstly you mentioned Shreya's birthplace as Murshidabad, Murshidabad district, Baharampur, West Bengal. How can it be both Murshidabad and Baharampur at the same time ? (Baharampur is only a city and no division or district) She can't have taken birth in both cities.

Moreover, only one source (that Times of India article) supports her birthplace as Murshidabad but several sources like Saavn and several other sources (even Shreya Ghoshal's official website) mention Behrampore or Baharampur as her birthplace. Even when you Google "Shreya Ghoshal birthplace", it is Baharampur which is displayed first.

I think it would be better if we place a note in the infobox that her "reported birthplace is disputed between Baharampur and Murshidabad." What do you say ?

Right now I am reverting your edits assuming good faith with some changes suggested by you. Before reverting me, please check the sources first. RegardsVibhss (talk) 10:51, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

Shreya Ghoshal's birthplace 1

Hi. I have placed a note with infobox in article Shreya Ghoshal clarifying that some sources mention her birthplace as Baharampur though she herself stated it Murshidabad. Now, the content in that article is completely undisputed. It helped to avoid conflicting sources about her birthplace. In Katrina Kaif article, her year of birth is reported as 1983 or 1984 by different sources. It was also resolved by a "Note". Please do see my earlier message also in reply to your message on your talk page. Regards. Vibhss (talk) 11:27, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi dear, @Vibhss:, You can place the note in Shreya Ghoshal's Talk Page. (Please click Talk Page link, which open Shreya Ghoshal's Talk Page). Talk page is used for clear the issue on the main page of the article. Zafar24Talk 12:59, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to FileHippo, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Sources and the company website all capitalise the "H" of "Hippo". McGeddon (talk) 09:10, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Zafar24,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether List of popular softwares should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of popular softwares .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Removal of references

Hi there, though I do appreciate your explanation in this edit, it's not always wise to remove references, particularly when the material being directly sourced (like a film's financial data, or an Indian actor's birthdate and ethnicity) are potentially contentious, or are prone to vandalism, as these figures in particular are. The strength of Wikipedia is in its references, and having clear references for this information makes it a lot easier and quicker to spot vandalism and to revert it, so we don't have to chase down the information in other parts of the article. Infoboxes do not have to be devoid of references, neither does the lead, so it would be appreciated if you'd please keep this in mind going forward. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:06, 27 August 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of Indian romance films

The article List of Indian romance films has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no content. More is available in Category:Indian romance films.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. @Bollyjeff: This article is in underconstruction. You should wait before putting unnecessay tags. Moreover, I also created that page with undercomstruction tag.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Zafar24 (talkcontribs)
Zafar, you have a sandbox at User:Zafar24/sandbox, which is where you should be cultivating articles instead of creating them in main space. Also, do we need List of Indian romance films if Category:Indian romance films exists? I don't know whether we do or don't, but have you considered it? Also, pings don't work unless you sign your comment. Bollyjeff, Zafar tried to ping you above. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:08, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb:, but Category doesn't include year field. So this is List of Indian romance films necessary. Zafar24Talk 22:26, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Do these exist, for comparison sake? List of Hollywood romance films, List of American romance films, List of English romance films, List of British romance films. No they do not, so there must be a good reason for it. Can you name any other article similar to this one on Wikipedia? Also, since there are literally thousands of Indian romance films; the article would be too big. The category is good enough. BollyJeff | talk 23:08, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

@Bollyjeff: The list includes only notable films. I also wrote this: "This is a list of notable Indian romance films."Zafar24Talk 23:12, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

@Bollyjeff: Please note that every year bollywood produces lots of films but Only some are notable (goes popular) and that includes in this list.Zafar24Talk 23:26, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Notable according to who, you? You didn't answer my questions as to why this is needed, if similar articles do not exist. Here are some guidelines for list articles: Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists. Here is one featured article that I found that is similar to what you are doing here. Note the lead section, lots of references, and extra info besides a title and year: List of films of the Dutch East Indies. A massive amount of extra work was done there to make it viable. Bollyjeff | talk 23:31, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
I do find List of American comedy films, but I don't find a list of American romance films or horror films or drama films. I do see List of horror films of the 1920s (and many more years). I also see List of romance films, which includes some Indian films. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:13, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

@Bollyjeff: not according to me. According to Google Search. If similar articles not created yet, then it means that Wikipedia has very less contributers.Zafar24Talk 11:28, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

@Bollyjeff: A massive amount of work has been done to so called page you mentioned because that page is old and you are comparing List of Indian romance films to old page List of films of the Dutch East Indies and I just started it 2 days ago.Zafar24Talk 12:13, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

So I hope that you intend to add more to the article over time than simply a list of titles picked by you with no references. The other thing that I want to mention for benefit of @Cyphoidbomb: is that you added a "See also" section to a couple of articles containing nothing but a link to your page. That is also not necessary, and I would advise against adding that to every article on your list. That's what the category is for. I am not going to say anything else about it. Best of luck to you. Bollyjeff | talk 23:29, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

Cut and Paste move

I'm not sure why you though it would be acceptable to overwrite a valid disambiguation page with a cut and paste of the Hina Khan (actress) article, but I have undone your changes. By doing so the article lost all edit attribution, which is required for copyright purposes. If you would like a move to be considered, please start a discussion using the requested move process. Also, please ensure you do not use the cut and paste/redirect process in the future as it is disruptive and can require tedious clean-up. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
