Thanks for uploading Image:Clavicula-Nox.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 03:00, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Cześć! Osobiście zdjęcia Visora mi za bardzo nie przeszkadzają. Człowiek na zdjęciu obok pnia drzewa daje poczucie skali. Prawdę mówiąc, artykuły o poszczególnych drzewach to może lekka przesada (można by to wszystko zebrać w jednym artykule: Notable trees of Bialowieza Forest), ale z drugiej strony warto pamiętać że Wikipedia is not paper. Image:C Johnsson.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:C Johnsson.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 18:53, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Therion - clavicula nox.ogg

Thanks for uploading Image:Therion - clavicula nox.ogg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:07, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Image:Kat band.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Kat band.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Notability of Uładzimir Zylka

A tag has been placed on Uładzimir Zylka, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

I realize that English langauge sources may not be easily located, but there really isn't much of an assertion of notability in the article. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 13:59, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I have read that you're able to make audio samples. I was hoping you could make them for the two Polish neighborhoods in this community listed under the article titled Avondale, Chicago: Jackowo and Waclawowo. The spelling system of Polish is baffling to the average American, so I thought this would be extremely useful. Thanking you for your trouble in advance--Orestek 05:19, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Graveland.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Graveland.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. I don't have the time to work on it now, but I just revisited this article I edited earlier today and saw that your valid edits had been reverted. It's pretty obvious that this article is being edited by a bunch of sock puppets (pretty much all of the content has been added by WP:SPAs, and they seem to edit in turns. I almost speedied this when I came across it earlier but tried to improve it instead. Now I'm not so sure it's not deserving of db-spam. Few (if any) of the references are from WP:RS. Well, hate to be a snitch but I'm doing it just the same. Precious Roy 00:38, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Wisla.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Wisla.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 21:08, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 00:59, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Demonoid.jpg. Hello there. I notice you removed the spaces between items in the bibliography of Honoré de Balzac (which I've been working on for several weeks). I wonder why you prefer this; it makes it harder for me (and other users, I expect) to read. Cheers. – Scartol · Talk 14:10, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
