Silesian Linguistic Tree - Vininn126

[edit]

I'm not suggesting to change Silesian to East Lechitic, but you are aware most contemporary Silesian linguistics point to a shared origin of Polish and Silesian at least, including Jaroszewicz, and others? Just something to be aware of. Vininn126 (talk) 19:37, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you're referring to the edit I've made on the page of the Cieszyn Silesian Dialect, then I do acknowledge the shared origin of Polish and Silesian, and have mentioned that in my note, however, Silesian is still a Lechitic language, although there is many Silesian dialects, and some could be argued to fall under "East Lechitic", the main language is purely Lechitic, and on the family tree, Cieszyn Silesian was connected under pure Silesian, not any dialect of Silesian, as that'd make Cieszyn Silesian a sub-dialect, which it isn't.
Thanks for the note, however. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 21:11, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The idea comes from the fact you also have Pomeranian as north, and Polabian to the west, whereas Silesian shares a lot with Lesser Polish and Greater Polish. Like I said, I'm not suggesting that be listed in the infobox. Vininn126 (talk) 21:12, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nazi Stepan Bandera - ManyAreasExpert

[edit]

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Stepan Bandera, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. [1] no source provided. Also the edit is wrongly marked as "minor". Enough Sources, Or would you want more? Around 8 words with the same information that is written below, simply rephrased to make it more understandable is indeed minor. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 21:21, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is a warning you are [2] edit warring. Your sources do not contain the claim you added to the wiki article. Please self-revert and reach the consensus first. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 21:41, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My friend, Try reading what I wrote and then reading through the sources:
First claim, "As well as a Nazi" support - "allied with Nazi Germany during WWII" Title alone. "participated in the Holocaust alongside Nazi Germany" That's called being a Nazi, just like if you support leftist ideologies, you're a leftist.
Second claim, "helping murder Poles" - "Who were Nazi collaborators and mass murderers of Jews, the Polish", "Ukrainian militant group that collaborated with Nazis during World War II, fought against the Soviets, and perpetrated mass murders of ethnic Jews, Poles,"
Both my sources contain the claim I added to the wiki article, Please refrain from attempting an argument without reading the full articles.
This is a website anyone can edit, which is why, do better than spread Ukrainian Propaganda, it's a well known fact he supported the Nazis and helped murder Jews, Poles and Soviets, the only country that disagrees is Ukraine, the country that praises him.
Good Day. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 23:11, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. See WP:OR - To demonstrate that you are not adding original research, you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article and directly support[b] the material being presented. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 23:23, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Expand on your point, please, I'd like to understand it further as currently I'm failing to.
They are published sources, and "original" refers to what? They're originally from the news sources I provided, They're also related to the topic, as they all speak about Bandera and his correlation with Nazis and murder of Jews, as well as Poles. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 23:29, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your sources do not directly support the text you added. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 23:31, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Read what has been said in the comment posted (Depending on Time Zone):11
The sources do support the text I have added, Check the page, Press the sources next to the text I have added, and search for what I wrote in the comment replying to yours, All of the sources and claims match up. "Collaborators and mass murderers of Jews, the Polish" in news outlet, and in Bandera's page: "Helping murder Poles", If you want, I can add Jews to the sentence as well as "mass murder" to make it more accurate. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 23:39, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is different to what you added to the article. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 07:56, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please don't use low-quality sources like peoplesdispatch and genevawhatever. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 08:01, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is not different to what I added to the article, every piece of text I added in the article I have quoted and added a matching quote from the articles in the message above.
I understand you're most likely a Ukrainian and support Stepan Bandera, but removing clear information from quite trustworthy and believed sources, claiming them to be unreliable as they go away from your own point of view is not something you should be doing on a information website that can be edited by anyone.
Thank you. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 22:32, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Stepan Bandera. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. [3] WP:OR violation: the sources do not directly support the text you added. ManyAreasExpert (talk) 07:59, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment here was just a mixture of what you said before, make sure you read the articles fully rather than 1 sentence alone.
To anyone reading: Read the whole conversation from the start, as @Manyareasexpert used a mixture of his questions in this comment which were already answered and debunked by me prior. Thanks. TruthfulSpeech (talk) 22:38, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TruthfulSpeech Please note that according to WP:APLECP you are actually only supposed to edit on pages relating to antisemitism in Poland during WWII if you have over 500 edits and an account for over 30 days (ie. you're extended confirmed). Sorry about that Tristario (talk) 00:07, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
