Edits in Indian Premier League 2016

[edit]

@Sudhanvahegde: Hello mate... Thanks for all your edits in the IPL 2016 page... It's really helpful... But I want to point out a small thing to you... That is when u type the names of players, teams, toss etc. please leave 1 space after the = sign... Not a big deal but still we would love to have the same protocol for all matches so please leave a space after the =... Carry on with the constructive edits... And if you have any difficulty anytime regarding edits you can always ask me in my talk page without the slight hesitation... Always there to help... Good luck... Cricket246 (talk) 14:27, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Cricket246: Will keep that in mind. Sorry for messing it up..this is the first time I've taken up any sort of major editing on Wikipedia. Thank you for pointing it out :) Sudhanvahegde (talk) 16:48, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Sudhanvahegde[reply]

Don't worry... Nothing was messed up... No issues... Your edits weren't wrong at all... Giving or not giving spaces doesn't really make a difference... But we generally prefer giving a space just to make it a little less clumsy and all matches we keep the same format... No other problems so don't worry at all... And keep up with the good work... It's a lot more helpful for me to manage the page with your help... And please sign your previous as well as all future comments with four tildes (~)... Enjoy your time in Wikipedia... Good luck mate... :) Cricket246 (talk) 16:19, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I just realised why the space thing was happening.. I use the visual editor and not the source editor.. Will make sure to get those spaces in. Thanks for the pointers :) Sudhanvahegde (talk) 16:51, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Sudhanvahegde[reply]

Your welcome... Carry on with the good work... Thanks for the helping hand... Cricket246 (talk) 08:18, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to tell u 1 thing... When u add the bowler's name please keep in mind the highest wicket taker's name should come... If there are two bowlers taking same no. of wickets then the one conceeding less runs gets preference... Today Chahal took 1/16 and Aaron took 2/37 so Aaron gets preference... Please keep this small piece of thing in mind... Thanks for all your edits and sharing our load... You are doing a great job... Carry on... Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 18:22, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I know.. I am sorry for the mistake! I was feeling down due to RCB's loss and so didn't check the scorecard properly.. I know it's a bad excuse but I promise I'll double check in the future. Thanks for your kind words :) Sudhanvahegde (talk) 18:34, 11 May 2016 (UTC)Sudhanvahegde[reply]

Never mind... I have made countless mistakes till date in Wikipedia and other users have then guided me and I've learnt from my mistakes... So no problem mate... Just carry on with the good work... One or two occasional mistakes will happen but never be bothered about those too much... Learning from the mistakes is necessary... And together we should do a good job and make Wikipedia even better... Keep up the good work... Thanks mate... :) Cricket246 (talk) 18:41, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

West Indies is not any particular country ... A group of Nations together form the West Indies... Russell belongs to Jamaica... I can't undo because I already had to undo three edits earlier... Please correct it... Thanks... Cheers... Cricket246 (talk) 18:28, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also congratulations for reaching 100 edits in Wikipedia... Keep up the good work... Cheers... :) Cricket246 (talk) 18:29, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the Jamaica flag... Cricket246 (talk) 18:32, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I assumed we'd use the flag for which the player plays international cricket as it is done in the IPL overall stats page. But, you're the boss, so alright :D sudhanva (talk) 18:37, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Sudhanvahegde[reply]

Should I take it as a compliment? :) Cricket246 (talk) 18:39, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

By the way you can edit it in the overall stats page as well..if you want to... :) And come on... Don't call me boss and all those... :D I'm a newbie who joined in January 2016... It's just that I'm a bit more enthusiastic and excited about the IPL 2016 page... :D Cricket246 (talk) 18:43, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Do take it as a compliment! sudhanva (talk) 18:51, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Sudhanvahegde[reply]

Haha... Sure... :D You must be happy now? RCB looks pretty much sure to go through to the playoffs... :) Cricket246 (talk) 19:21, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want to be too optimistic but the last two games have surely made me proud of supporting them :) sudhanva (talk) 16:41, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Let's hope for the best... :) Cricket246 (talk) 14:13, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Cricket246: About the seeding.. I went through previous years' IPL articles and they had the seed numbers upto the finals as well. So why not here?sudhanva (talk) 17:00, 25 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sudip Chatterjee (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:35, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. RonBot (talk) 23:58, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2018–19 Premier Badminton League, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Samay Raina, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
