[edit]

why exactly am I being probated? Is editing Turkish propaganda into legible English outside of the Wikipedia charter or something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.40.153.43 (talk) 23:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Turkish propaganda"? There is no reason to remove the referenced material. It is clear that this is a WP:COI situation-Binary TSO ???

A doubt about tags

[edit]

Hi there ORION, VASCO from PORTUGAL here,

Given that i have seen this situation on many times, now i ask, out of (possibly) ignorance: in Gustavo Munúa's article, i saw that you inserted a tag that calls for citations and other sources. Given that the article has two links and as much refs (although one of the refs is just stats and can qualify as only a mere link), my question is: what is the pattern usually followed in order to insert such tags?

From Portugal, have a pleasant 2009,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 19:34, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two references may not be sufficient for the article. For example the entire "club career" section is supported by only one source-Binary TSO ???

Epicas The Road to Paradiso

[edit]

Ever thing about the history of the band comes from there website and there Book The Road to Paradiso. It can be linked to though. But ever thing there is true. They really did get the name of the band from Kamelot. They really where called Sahara Dust and so on. Ever word is true and backed with there site and there book. --98.224.211.86 (talk) 01:33, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not contesting the factual accuracy of the article. However, in accordance to wiki policy, you need to cite sources to verify the information. You cannot just "claim" that it is true. I've had a look at the band website, and the biography appears to be insufficient. Also according to WP:RS, you need reliable third party sources, not just the band website-Binary TSO ???

All the sources that could be used are gone sense there old record company went belly up. In other words the best you can do is using place like http://www.metalstorm.ee/bands/band.php?band_id=208&bandname=Epica

And wiki does like places like that. So unless you are willing to let that site pass then ever thing there is true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.224.211.86 (talk) 01:43, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did a quick search and there appears to be a number of potential sources that could be used, eg.[1]. There are quite a number of reviews, although they may not pass WP:RS.-Binary TSO ???

Like I said the info is all true. Finding any good sources good lucky. The best you can do is place like seaoftranquility, Metal Archives, and metalstorm. I put in a few links from metalstorm but that won't last. Most all info is either at the site or in there book. But sense there record company went belly up it's really hard to find good info on the band. Your just going to have link the kamelot sites for some of the stuff or even there myspace page because that's the best your going to get. --98.224.211.86 (talk) 01:55, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did what I could and it's about as good as it's going to get. Unless you can find better ones. But again like I said there is a big lack of it on the net and most of what you will find comes from there book, site, myspace, common knowledge of the band and there messageboard. There book the best source is not online and there is no way to link to it sad to say. :( Most info like you said is from sources that would not pass. But that's about as good as it will get. Not even there new label talks about there whole history. It's a shame to because there is a lot of history about them from 02 to 09. --98.224.211.86 (talk) 02:14, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Section deletion template on William Horlick High School

[edit]

I saw you put a section deletion tag on the above mentioned article. Could you please provide a reason for the tag so it can be addressed on the article's talk page? Daniel J Simanek (talk) 02:58, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Daniel J Simanek (talk) 03:10, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Black Dahlia Murder

[edit]

Dude, why do you keep changing my edit of the Black Dahlia Murder page back to what it was? They aren't Melodic Death Metal and they never will be, so please stop fucking doing that shit! They are clearly Deathcore/Grindcore or whatever other shitty genres the scene kids listen to these days.

Why do you have to keep them as Melodic Death Metal? How does it benefit you? It's getting pretty rediculous...

So if you could please stop undo'ing my edits, that'd be great.

Ok there, I changed it. Reliable source, so please keep it AT THAT. This is fucking killing me..it's killing me inside to see such a terrible band being listed under my favorite genre.

So please keep this, or I will legit loose my fucking mind.

OK DUDE, CHECK THIS OUT...LOOK AT THIS SHIT...THIS ISN'T EVEN A FUCKING RELIABLE SOURCE...

http://www.rockdetector.com/artist,34061.sm

Simply hillarious, so there you have it...no source for it...meaning "Melodic Death Metal" shouldn't be listed there, feel free to remove it now as if you don't then it's breaking that same rule you brought up when I made my edit to the page. But then again, I did give a source, and it was actually more reliable then whatever the hell that shit is.

So please remove it, clearly no reliable source, meaning it shouldn't be there.

If you don't believe me, go look at the source for yourself, after Melodic Death Metal it says "1", click on the 1 or go to the source section, click on it, and there you have it...no reliable source, so remove that shit please.

Saosin

[edit]

Seven years wasn't written by the same band. Different vocalist, different bass player, session drummer. In my opinion, that would count as a completely different band, but if you're going to put post hardcore in there can you at least put (early) next to it?

You're once again showing that you know nothing about music or genre's. Saosin is alternative rock, even if you believe that they are post-hardcore, which they are not, post-hardcore is a sub-genre of alternative rock. There's still nothing post-hardcore about seven years by the way, once again you show your lack of knowledge of the genre. Listen to Blood Brothers, Glassjaw, Fugazi, or Quicksand and tell me how in the world anything Saosin has done sounds similar to that. You're just being ignorant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lolcakes2009 (talkcontribs) 23:18, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am a snail person. I came across this minaret article by accident and was just cleaning up the prose a bit. I noticed you tagged the article as POV, but did not give any indication why. It might be helpful to note on the talk page what the problem is, so others can hopefully fix it. Thanks, and best wishes to you, Invertzoo (talk) 02:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, good, thanks. Invertzoo (talk) 21:36, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You sure about that? She's practically advertising herself... HalfShadow 03:50, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, whatever. Just seemed sort of spammy to me. COI, at least. HalfShadow 04:00, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this

[edit]

You say to merge to "main article." What "main article"? The character appears in two films and a novel. Saying it's "non-notable" is odd given that a Google Book search shows dozens of hits in secondary sources analyzing the novel and the characters while Google News shows dozens of hits reviewing the film and its characters. There's enough from interviews where development sections are realistic, as are reception sections, and comparisons from novel versus film. Please reconsider. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 16:44, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What I meant was to re-direct the page to Bridge to Terabithia. The "fictional biography" section is the only part that is actually helpful to the reader. As there is not a substantial amount of additional information, it is better to merge it into the main article-Binary TSO ???
Again there's Bridge to Terabithia (novel), Bridge_to_Terabithia_(1985_film), and Bridge to Terabithia (2007 film). The character article is relevant to all three of these. Not any one is the clear redirect location. In fact the character article serves as a gateway to these different adaptations. Anyway, I have begun revising both: [2] and [3].
