Tell you what...

[edit]

I'm currently trying to engage in several discussions about why what are coming to be called "notability purges" off-wiki for lack of any better term, mass-nominating articles for deletion on notability grounds, are a bad idea. Since you appear to be in the early stages of that, I'd like to have one with you. Thing is that I suck at punctuality and (consequently) am busy IRL, so can you hold the deletions for a couple of days while I get my thoughts sorted out and maybe get an eight-page essay off my back? The article's aren't going anywhere, after all.. --Kizor 04:20, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Time and a misconduct discussion (cough) prevent me from answering that in detail, but there's no real feasible way to stop an AfD that's begun and been voted on. I meant a pause in starting new ones. Thank you for your friendliness and reasonability, both valuable online for their rarity, and I hope (as in, not "know") that I can satisfactorily answer. --Kizor 05:54, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Day of the Black Sun Part 1: The Invasion (Avatar: The Last Airbender), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Day of the Black Sun Part 1: The Invasion (Avatar: The Last Airbender) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Day of the Black Sun Part 1: The Invasion (Avatar: The Last Airbender), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. See WP:BLP, which equally applies to companies. It is a rumour, and we do not publish rumours on Wikipedia regardless of whether fifty sites publish it. Will (talk) 21:29, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

[edit]

Hello. I would just like to make the comment that it seems, at least to me, that you may have overstepped the bounds of WP:Civil with your edit summary when you moved Conversion to Christianity back. Obviously, you feel strongly about your beliefs, but I don't think that an edit summary is the place to be showing them. Maybe you were being funny, but I think that some people will not get the joke if that was the case. Perhaps it would better for all if you were a bit more careful in the future? Thanks, and sorry if I misinterpreted what you said, Benjamin Scrīptum est - Fecī 01:33, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the one hand, since the user that made the move got blocked for POV-pushing and incivility, it was a mildly inappropriate edit summary to use. On the other hand, I shouldn't have taken a sip of water before reading the history page; I nearly sprayed it all over the computer from laughing. —C.Fred (talk) 17:53, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have to admit it was funny, too, and it certainly pales in comparison to what the other guy did, but I just don't think that an edit summary is the place to put "Your fake god told me to move it back" or whatever the comment was. Benjamin Scrīptum est - Fecī 22:35, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, do you have a source to back up the claim that Crytek confirmed Warhead as a sequel? I've looked around, but can't find anything that isn't speculation. · AndonicO Engage. 17:25, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, found it: [1]. I'll restore the edit you made to Crysis, and add it as a source. Cheers, and good find. · AndonicO Engage. 17:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, at least you knew where it was. :) · AndonicO Engage. 17:34, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Crysis Warhead.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Crysis Warhead.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7

[edit]

Hi there!  :)

As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 18:21, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
