Hi-5 reception

[edit]

A balanced GA reception section does require both negative and positive views: where they are representative of reliable sources. As long as you provide a summary style presentation of Le Marquand's position I have no problem with her discussion being added. Make sure that a typical reader can tell that this is her view not yours nor wp's.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 10:33, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hi-5

[edit]

please do not put it note to Kathleen de Leon Jones because it's correct is series 1-8 and 3 guest appearances in series 9 because not need to note! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.9.103.243 (talk) 01:43, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@61.9.103.243: I have placed this on the talk page. The "Cast" section specifies which series the presenters were part of the main cast. de Leon Jones had three guest appearances in Series 9, and this is listed as a note. This is due to the ease of reading; for casual readers to see that she was only part of the main cast for Series 1 to 8. This was approved during the article's Good Article review. The note relays the same information while appearing neater and more accurate. Without the note it looks messy. Please continue discussing on talk page. SatDis (talk) 03:09, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A query about the List of "Bluey" episodes viewers list.

[edit]

While editing the article on the list of "Bluey" episodes (the viewer count on the list), do we count the viewers in both the morning and the evening (do we add the numbers together) ? ( look for "BLUEY-EV" in the tv tonight articles. e.g rank 2 in this tv tonight post. https://tvtonight.com.au/2020/04/saturday-11-april-2020.html ) I didn't know how to contact you in any way so I put this message in the talk page. Please tell me the correct way to contact a wikipedia user. I am a beginner at wikipedia (I don't edit much) and I don't really know what to do in situations like these. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScratchyGamer314 (talkcontribs) 01:16, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @ScratchyGamer314:, no worries, here is perfect - welcome! I noticed you added the last few ratings I needed to do. The protocol is to only include the ratings for the "premiere screening" and for the case of Bluey, that's the morning episode. To be fair, its morning episodes are more watched than the evening episodes, and it has rivalled some of the biggest prime time shows this series. It would be inaccurate to combine the numbers together, as most other shows on TV don't get two screenings in a day. Hope that helps. And signing off a talk page comment can be done with four of the [~] symbols. Thanks, SatDis (talk) 05:54, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bluey

[edit]

What makes you say my addition to Bluey was "Not really an essential character detail."? 172.250.44.165 (talk) 22:00, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote Bandit is "often the brunt of Bluey and Bingo's jokes". This doesn't refer to a characteristic of Bandit, it specifies how he reacts to the girls' actions. I believe Bandit's relationship with his children is outlined in detail in the production section - his role as an active father and nature of the humour in the series. I think the statement you wrote is subjective and the character details should be tight, essential details which can be backed up by a reference. That statement is too ambiguous and the wording is too coloquial. SatDis (talk) 00:30, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What I'm saying is the girls frequently like to play jokes on Bandit. 172.250.44.165 (talk) 00:45, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Already in the writing section: "The conflict and humour in the episodes stems from Bandit's relationship with his daughters". In the themes section: "Bandit seen regularly doing housework and engaging in imaginative play with his children". These add more value then "playing jokes". SatDis (talk) 00:58, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Can you re-edit back about CBeebies on Singapore? Because only Singapore make the article about Bluey coming to CBeebies. I'm Malaysian and CBeebies is really share the same live stream with almost all Southeast Asia countries. Another proof is on reddit: cbeebies southeast asia tv schedule bluey. So if you don't mind can you add back the information? Arsyad1105 (talk) 22:18, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Arsyad1105: Thank you for your message. I do understand and would like to help you make this edit possible, however, the references need to be of the highest quality to support any details added. I have had to remove the Reddit source and Kutu Buku Kartun source as they are not reliable enough for a Featured Article. I do also have concerns for ByKido being a blog source, and Malay Mail being a tabloid source, but have kept those two for now. See this page Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources for more details. It would be great if higher quality references could be found, or the information may have to be removed. I have also expanded "SEA countries" to list what the references support. Another consideration is that the Broadcast section does not have to list every country the series airs on. Thanks. SatDis (talk) 23:42, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bluey FAC

[edit]

Hello again. I am sorry for my message on your FAC. It was not appropriate for me to do that, and I wish you luck with the FAC. I always appreciate seeing an article on a television show in the FAC space, and I can tell that you have put a lot of great work into this article. I hope that I did not offend you in anyway, and apologies again for my behavior. Have a great rest of your week! Aoba47 (talk) 19:39, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: Thank you for your message, I appreciate it. I wasn't offended in any way! I figured it was my mistake for nominating a new article so soon and I'm glad you brought it to my attention. Thanks for noting my work on the article, I am really hoping it will get some attention during the review... it can be disheartening when no one leaves a review during the nomination. Thanks again! SatDis (talk) 22:48, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for the response, and I agree with you. It is frustrating to not get feedback for a FAC. It may be helpful to review other editors' FAC as part of a quid pro quo. Apologies if this has already been mentioned to you before, but you could also try the FAC mentoring system. If I have time in the future, I will try to review the FAC, but I unfortunately cannot guarantee it right now. Aoba47 (talk) 22:31, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Aoba47: and great suggestion - I will look at reviewing another article. SatDis (talk) 23:07, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just trying to help. I have two questions about the Bluey article. Is the "Characters" section mostly cited through the show itself? That is a valid method, but I was curious about it since a majority of the section does not have citations. I also noticed the article does not have a plot section. Is there any particular reason for this? Apologies for the random response and questions. Just wanted to get your feedback on this. Aoba47 (talk) 05:45, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great questions @Aoba47:. Yes, the character information is cited throughout the show. There are no citations because this information isn't available online, except for the official website (and I don't know if it's appropriate to cite that website for every character). However, I have citations for voice actors where possible in that section. As for plot, I'm not sure if you're familiar with Bluey, but it doesn't have a substantial "plot" heavy element. In the lead I describe what the show is about, and I go on to talk about the characters in that section, and more of plot in the "Themes" section especially. So basically I opted for "Themes" instead of "Plot" because I feel like that is more valuable. Basically the show is about a family who play games, so the "Plot/Premise" section would be short! SatDis (talk) 05:56, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response! Good luck with the FAC. Aoba47 (talk) 06:03, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoba47: Just wondering if you would like to leave a review on the Bluey article at all? I'd be happy to leave a review on any of your articles in exchange? Thanks. SatDis (talk) 13:12, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the message. I am currently doing a GAN, but after I am through with that review, I will look at the Bluey article. I have two comments about it. Is there a reason why some of the characters include the voice actor and other characters are listed with the voice actor? Also, in the "Broadcast", there is a one-sentence paragraph, and that should be avoid as it makes the prose choppy. If there are one-sentence paragraphs elsewhere in the article, I'd find a way to better represent the information as it is discouraged to have them. Aoba47 (talk) 20:18, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And if you have time, I would greatly appreciate any feedback for my FAC. Do not feel pressured to do so though as I should comment on your FAC to make up for the mess I started right after its nomination. Aoba47 (talk) 20:26, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much @Aoba47:!! Please don't feel that you started a mess, it has caused no problems at all! I would be happy to leave a review on your article and I will get to it this week. I have fixed that one sentence paragraph. Some characters are listed without the voice actor because they are voiced by child actors who are uncredited on the series - the first sentence of the Characters section actually explains this with a reference. Hope that helps. Thanks again. SatDis (talk) 21:46, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification. I am glad that the child actors are uncredited hopefully as a way to protect them. I am looking forward to reading the article when I have the chance as I always enjoy animated television shows. Aoba47 (talk) 23:27, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for the delay in my review. I will put up my comments on either Thursday or Friday as I'd like to devote my Wikipedia time tomorrow to wrapping up a GAN review and take a short break for Wednesday. I have noticed the oppose. Do not feel discouraged about it since you have engaged a lot of editors with this nomination. If the FAC does get archived, I'd recommend opening a peer review and notifying everyone who has commented. If the FAC gets archived before I can post comments, I will definitely respond in a peer review and at the next FAC. I do not want to say that it will be archived for sure, but just wanted to let you know that it would not be the end of the world. Aoba47 (talk) 06:01, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Aoba47:, your support has been great throughout this process. No need to hurry, whenever you're ready is fine! And thanks for mentioning that oppose - I have had some other support, so I am eager to keep working on the article. I am hopeful I can fix those suggestions and change the oppose. I would definitely refine and re-nominate if it was archived. Thanks again for your help. SatDis (talk) 08:43, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think I told you this before, but apologies in advance if I had not. Please do not collapse other editors' comment as you have done here. An editor may collapse his or her comments, but it is strongly encouraged to not adjust other editors' comments in such a manner. Just wanted to let you know. Aoba47 (talk) 01:40, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: Oh, okay, thank you. I was unaware. SatDis (talk) 03:17, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Just wanted to let you know. Aoba47 (talk) 03:35, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Featured Article Medal
By the authority vested in me by myself it gives me great pleasure to present you with this special, very exclusive award created just for we few, we happy few, this band of brothers, who have shed sweat, tears, and probably blood, in order to be able to proudly claim "I too have taken an article to Featured status". Gog the Mild (talk) 11:40, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gog the Mild: Thanks so much for the promotion! SatDis (talk) 12:26, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! You did all of the work, together with the reviewers. All I did was acknowledge it. Thank you for the high quality article. I look forward to the next one. Gog the Mild (talk) 12:28, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi-5 (Australian band)

[edit]

Hello:

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Hi-5 (Australian band) has been completed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Nothing strikes me as missing from the article. Though I know nothing of the subject, it seems well balanced and complete to me.

Best of luck with FA process.

Thank you very much for the thorough copyedit @Twofingered Typist:. I believe your work will be a great contribution to the FA process. Thanks again. SatDis (talk) 22:39, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

[edit]

I will apologize for this edit summary, which came across as harsh. I've seen you around before, but this time I got you mixed up with another user I've had problems with, hence the summary. And with your first edit there today, I oversaw that you added another source. Keep up the good work! Amaury03:09, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @Amaury: I appreciate the apology. I have no issues with the sentence and citation now - the only reason I pushed for the archive URL is because I've been undergoing Featured Article nominations and it is encouraged there that every source needs to have an archive. I'm happy to work with anyone who has a passion for Disney Channel.
I'm not sure if you're part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Disney, but would you be interested in having a go at my GA review for Hannah Montana? OR, would you potentially do a B-class assessment of the article? If not, is there anyone who you think would suit the job? I will not be offended if you say no. Thanks. SatDis (talk) 03:21, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you could technically say yes—likewise for Nickelodeon—but I have no experience with FA or GA pages. However, I can invite Geraldo Perez and IJBall, two editors I work collaboratively with on television related articles, particularly those for Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. They can comment if they wish, as they have much more experience with FAs and GAs than I do. Amaury03:26, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Amaury: That is greatly appreciated, thanks. I would love for someone familiar with Nick / Disney to do the GA review. SatDis (talk) 03:31, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

FAC

[edit]

Hello again, and apologies for the random message. If possible, I would greatly appreciate any help with my current FAC. I completely understand if you do not have the time or energy to do a FAC review, but I just wanted to reach out and ask. Either way, have a happy holidays! Aoba47 (talk) 04:01, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course @Aoba47: I love working with you, however, I will get to it after Christmas. Also, seeing as you've done The Emperor's New School, I was wondering if you'd like to take a look at what I've done with Hannah Montana? If you feel comfortable doing the Good Article review, I'd be so grateful! But if not, I'd appreciate some casual feedback - even participating in a peer review? Thanks. SatDis (talk) 06:07, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the response. That makes perfect sense to me. I honestly forgot that Christmas was so close until a few days ago. I will pick up Hannah Montana for a GAN review. Since it is a rather long article (understandably so given how popular that show was and continues to be), my review will likely take some time and I will post my comments in sections so you can address them as I go (or you could wait until I post everything; that part is up to you). Have a happy holidays! Aoba47 (talk) 13:57, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much @Aoba47: I will work through the review as you go and I'll check out your FA candidate ASAP! Merry Christmas! SatDis (talk) 14:27, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Merry Christmas to you too and take as much time as you need. Aoba47 (talk) 14:35, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much @Aoba47: for your work on the Good Article nomination of Hannah Montana, I appreciate it. I look forward to working with you on the next project (I am eyeing off Wizards of Waverly Place, haha! And I will contact you again when I put Hannah up for peer review/FA. Enjoy the rest of your year. SatDis (talk) 00:44, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! I'm looking forward to your improvements to the Wizards of Waverly Place article if you decide to pursue that as a project. I am actually thinking of retiring in the near future so unfortunately, I do not think I will be much help with the Hannah Montana peer review or the FAC. Apologies for that. Enjoy the rest of your year as well! Aoba47 (talk) 00:48, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoba47: Oh, wow, that's a shame to hear! Will it be a full retirement or will you still make edits? What has led to that decision? (I hope you don't mind me asking). SatDis (talk) 00:52, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It will be a full retirement. I find that Wikipedia takes a considerable amount of time that I would prefer to spend elsewhere. Lately, I have been revisiting my past GAs to rewrite them for possible FACs, and I think the process of going back to my old work has made me too critical on myself and made editing more stressful in a very odd way. For instance, after I spent a decent amount of time finding and formatting new sources for a song article, I asked myself why I'm spend this time and energy on a song that I do not particularly enjoy lol. Maybe one day I'll come back to Wikipedia, but I just do not find Wikipedia editing to be as fun or rewarding as it used to be. Apologies for rambling lol. Aoba47 (talk) 01:04, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoba47: No, I completely understand! I frequently feel as if I am spending too much time on GAs and FACs - it's a bit like an addiction! However, I try to only work on projects I feel passionate about. And for 2021, I'll try and find a better balance. All the best for when you do retire if I don't get to talk to you before then. :) SatDis (talk) 01:07, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am glad that I am not the only one that feels that way lol. I agree that it is far better to do work on projects that you are passionate about. I am sure you will find a balance between it all. All the best to you as well. I am going to wait to retire until things wrap with my FAC and that will still take some time so I'll be around for a little while longer. Aoba47 (talk) 01:27, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Aoba47: Things have been progressing well with Wizards of Waverly Place and due to some spare time, I believe I'll finish it this month. I've structured the page almost identically to Hannah Montana and have found scholarly articles for themes and reception. I was wondering, if you haven't retired by the time I finish, would you be interested in doing the Good Article review? I'm only suggesting it seeing as you're familiar with the structure and writing style. If you don't think you will have any opportunity to do so, I won't be offended, and I'll simply wait for someone else to pick up the GA. Thanks and Happy New Year! SatDis (talk) 05:55, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you are having a wonderful new year so far! Great work with the article so far and best of luck with the rest of it. Unfortunately, I will not be able to review it whenever you put it up for a GAN because I am honestly not doing any more reviews. I am just waiting for things to wrap up with my FAC and will retire when things are settled there (regardless if it is promoted or archived for any reason). I am sorry for not being any help with this. I just think a clean break from Wikipedia is the healthiest thing for me right now, and I am actually planning on not logging in at all after everything is cleared up with the FAC and my retirement. Aoba47 (talk) 06:27, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: No worries at all, I completely understand! Best of luck with your FAC, and regardless, I do hope you check out the article once it's finished. SatDis (talk) 06:47, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the kind words, and I will definitely pay attention to the article to see all of the great work you will be putting into it. Aoba47 (talk) 22:42, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I just wanted to say good luck with the Wizards of Waverly Place GAN. I was actually about to pick it up for a review after returning from my very short time away from Wikipedia. I hope everything is going well with you! Aoba47 (talk) 01:34, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Aoba47: good to hear from you! Does that mean the retirement was temporary? Thanks for the well wishes. In the future I do hope to look at getting both Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place to Featured Article, but I myself am having a little bit of a rest from taking on larger nominations at the moment. In other news, my biggest project Hi-5 (Australian group) will be Today's featured article on March 26 so I'm pretty happy about that! All the best! SatDis (talk) 02:20, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have decided to return to Wikipedia so my retirement was a temporary thing after all. It is always important to take breaks so I think that is for the best. Congrats on getting the article on the front page. I am sure that will make a lot of people very happy when they see it! Aoba47 (talk) 02:28, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations, SatDis! The article you nominated, Hi-5 (Australian band), has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Gog the Mild (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:06, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also wanted to say congratulations on this promotion. I know that you have worked a lot on this article and have attempted several FACs on it before and for that, I admire your dedication to getting it to FA status. I think that deserves respect. Stay safe and have a great weekend! Aoba47 (talk) 01:15, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

SatDis, I know you're trying to help, but there's really no need to make edits only to change ARIA URLs to their PDF links. There's nothing to say those are going to stay longer in ARIA's database than a URL that already points to a date-archived version of the chart page now that ARIA has introduced these. Ss112 06:30, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ss112: Understood, thanks. SatDis (talk) 07:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

SatDis, did you have an image in mind to use on the main page along with the TFA appearance? --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 23:16, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Coffeeandcrumbs: Yes, I was just planning on using the image from the article's infobox. Should this be added to the TFA write-up? Thanks. SatDis (talk) 23:20, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I can take care of it. That image is not going to appear as well on the main page. Would you object to using this one. Not all the original members but 3 out of 5 is not bad. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 23:28, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The main article image is a little dark and won't look as nice when shrunk down to main page size. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 23:31, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and added the image you chose. Let me know if you want me to replace it with the one I picked. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 23:37, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Coffeeandcrumbs: I think you are right, the other image may look better, I would not mind seeing it appear instead. Thanks for the assistance. SatDis (talk) 23:58, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hannah Montana

[edit]

Hello again. I recently some Hannah Montana-related things, and I wanted to share them with you. Miley posted a letter to Hannah on her instagram and the response on Montana's Twitter is just everything lol. There was also an article in Billboard where the people related to the show looked back on the music's impact. I just thought that you would find these things interesting. All of this coverage makes sense since it is the show's 15th anniversary after all lol. Aoba47 (talk) 21:14, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @Aoba47: for sharing the article! I'll see if anything in the article is worth citing. It'll be interesting to see if this coverage is just for the 15th anniversary or if Miley is planning some future "Hannah"-related projects! SatDis (talk) 21:39, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think the coverage is just for the 15th anniversary for the time being, but if I am sure that Disney is paying close attention to how many people are looking at this stuff to see if any further Hannah Montana content would be worth pursuing. I still think the best idea would be bring back Cyrus as Montana and have her be a mentor to a young girl was has the same dual identities. This type of concept was successful for Raven's Home so I could see it also working here. That would be pretty ironic considering that Hannah Montana was definitely inspired by the popularity of That's So Raven. I think Billy Ray's prequel idea is cute, but I think fans would rather see Cyrus return and a prequel would have to be set in the past, which I think would be a mistake. Anyway, apologies for the long message. I guess I had a lot of thoughts about this. Aoba47 (talk) 23:45, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Aoba47: Very interesting. Yep, the only way it would work would be to bring back Miley Cyrus, but I'm unsure if she would ever want to return to a full-time show. Looking at how the Lizzie McGuire revival was cancelled due to adult themes, I think it would require some serious planning. Raven's Home has been a great series, but I feel like the fans would not respond well to a similar concept for Hannah Montana. I hope one day we get something, even if Disney just poach Cyrus to do a "Hannah Montana" one-off concert for Disney+! SatDis (talk) 02:07, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I see your point. Cyrus could be willing to do a full-time show, especially since touring is not possible for the foreseeable future, but she may want to commit her time to other projects (like Ariana Grande with The Voice). As much as I would want the show to only focus on Cyrus, I do not think that is Disney's goal as they seem more interested in focusing on children characters. The Lizzie McGuire revival was a mess. I feel bad for Hilary Duff as I think she has unfairly gotten a lot of criticism for sticking up for the show's more mature themes. A one-off Disney+ concert would be the ideal solution, but I'd even take that one step forward. It would be cool if they had a movie about the events leading up to the concerts so we could see all of the other characters and get a story which would lead to the concert film. With all that being said, I do not think anything major will happen with the Hannah Montana franchise in the near future, but it would certainly be another way to attract viewers to Disney+. Bluey edit reverted??

[edit]

Why did you revert this edit? I just moved the 1 after "October", so it's not really a problem. 🍓⋆JennilyW♡🍧 (talk) 22:00, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @JennilyW:. Thanks for the message. It may seem like a small edit but it actually signals a much larger problem. The series is an Australian series and in Australia, the date format is Date Month Year (i.e. we say 1 October 2018). According to Wikipedia, the article's use of date must follow rules from the show's country of origin. This was approved in the article's Featured Article nomination. Hope that helps. Thanks. Canvassing

[edit]

Hello, SatDis! I am very sorry to disturb you but I noticed these edits. You appear to be asking for supports in an FAC, which I believes violates WP:CANVASSING, specifically campaigning. Instead of asking for "comments and support", I would recommend just asking for "comments". I might be wrong so if I am just alert me. I'm doing this right, right? Thanks. Pamzeis (talk) 11:06, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Pamzeis: Oops, I definitely shouldn't have said the word "support". My mistake! Should I go back and fix those messages? Thanks. SatDis (talk) 12:45, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the word. Thanks for alerting. SatDis (talk) 12:47, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Luckily, I wouldn't fret; you've only reached out to a limited amount of people, and since you simply reached out to people who contributed to your last FAC (who rarely work in such field and gave good neutral comments), you clearly aren't cherry picking for supports. I would suggest shakinig up who you do ping however; maybe search for users you interact with often, or users who actively contribute in a subject or genre you're working on. You also don't have to worry about going out of your way to reach out to SandyGeorgia, ImagineTigers, and Casliber because they're always active in featured article creation and have that stuff watchlisted. That's So Raven lauds

[edit]

Hello again. I just wanted to congratulate you on all the work you have done on the That's So Raven article. The show was a little after my time so I am not super familiar with it, but I do like its premise and I find it interesting that it has a big impact on Disney Channel shows. Aoba47 (talk) 04:01, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Aoba47: Thanks so much for your continued support. I really appreciate your feedback on That's So Raven, and I have nominated it for GA. Funnily enough, the show was actually before my time but I am rediscovering it now. It's part of my sporadic mission to eventually tackle as many Disney Channel shows as possible - I have already done Hannah Montana (fingers crossed for FA) and Wizards of Waverly Place... and I was initially inspired by your work on The Emperor's New School. I hope I can get some of them to Featured Article; for now I'm just happy if I can use the articles to help people like yourself understand what made the shows so special! SatDis (talk) 04:21, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Best of luck with the Hannah Montana FAC. You now know that I am older than you lol. I had a lot of fun working on the article for The Emperor's New School, and I learned so much from that FAC. While I have issues with the show's main premise, I still found myself really enjoying it and having a lot of very fond memories attached to it. I think that one of the best parts of Wikipedia is how I can continually learn and grow as an editor.
  • I am honestly very flattered that the FAC for The Emperor's New School had inspired you so much, and that is one of the kindest things I have read on here. You have a lot of my respect for taking on these articles as they are about such popular shows so it is a lot of work and time. Aside from the three Disney shows you've already mentioned, do you have any others in mind? I should go back and do some more work on Disney show articles myself. Aoba47 (talk) 04:51, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Aoba47: Before I saw your article, I looked at the Disney shows and didn't realise they could be transformed into such well-written pieces! I've noticed a couple of others are already Good Articles - The Buzz on Maggie and Kim Possible come to mind. I wonder if they could all be grouped into a Good Topic, as there are a few now in addition to Hannah, Wizards and New School. Phineas and Ferb used to be a Good Article but was de-listed. But I wouldn't be sure exactly how to tackle that.
  • In terms of my own projects, I think I have to find the right show which has a good amount of sources available. A lot of the recent shows simply don't have enough coverage. I briefly touched up Lizzie McGuire previously but I don't know if what I did would be enough to become a GA. I currently have my eyes on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and maybe Sonny with a Chance or Good Luck Charlie. I'll have a go and see which one gains momentum. I also hold my breath as I consider High School Musical as well! If you were to tackle a show yourself, which would you choose? SatDis (talk) 06:42, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm uncertain if all the Disney Channel shows could become a topic as there are so many of them. However, I'd ask someone with more experience in that area. I could see shows like Lizzie McGuire becoming their own topic as there are multiple articles related to it. I would love to work on the So Weird article as that was one of my favorite shows when I was younger (at least the first two seasons before it changed for the third and last season). I also love the Aladdin and The Little Mermaid televisions shows so I'd also enjoy working on those articles. Maybe one day, I will get around to them. Aoba47 (talk) 16:46, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • It makes me feel so old to realize that those shows are super "retro" at this point. I keep meaning to get back into art, and I would love to draw characters from both the Aladdin and The Little Mermaid shows. Mozenrath is my personal favorite. I've heard people describe So Weird as a younger version of The X-Files. When compared to Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, and That's So Raven, So Weird is very different in tone and style, and it is interesting to see how Disney Channel shows evolved over time. So Weird is very much steeped in the 90s, and nostalgia is very likely one of the reasons why I still love it so much lol. I will let you know if/when I decide to work on those articles. I'm planning on taking a break from music articles anyway as I've done quite a bit of them lately lol. Aoba47 (talk) 03:02, 19 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. I actually have a quick comment about the That's So Raven article. I would encourage you to incorporate scholarly articles and analysis about the series into the article. I use Google Scholar as my primary search engine for this kind of research and I find it to be very useful. I have only done a quick search and I found sources like Racializing Raven: Race and Gender in That's So Raven and Never, Sometimes, Always: The Multiple Temporalities of “Post-Race” Discourse in Convergence Television Narrative. There does not appear to be a lot of academic coverage, but I still think it would be worthwhile to investigate this further (although I'd discourage you from using student theses and dissertations as those are not encouraged to use on Wikipedia). Sorry for the randomness of this message. It was just on my mind. Aoba47 (talk) 04:39, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Aoba47: No need to apologise and thank you for the links. I have used scholarly sources before, for Hannah and other articles, so I will definitely add these into the Raven article in when I get the chance! Thanks again. SatDis (talk) 06:43, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Sorry for adding yet another message to this thread. Although Hannah Montana has been promoted to FA status, I would still look through Heartfox's comments about the ratings. I have a lot of respect for them as a reviewer (and an editor in general) and I think it would be beneficial to further explore what they have brought up in their edit summary. I am sure you are already aware of this, but I still wanted to bring this up regardless. Aoba47 (talk) 05:54, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I reviewed the list article. I believe that there is close paraphrasing in the article and I have tagged the article

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Bruxton}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Bruxton (talk) 23:29, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bruxton: I believe the source you have specified here [1] has merely copied word for word what was already written on Wikipedia. All of this:
"High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is an American mockumentary musical drama streaming television series created for Disney+ by Tim Federle, inspired by the High School Musical film series. The series is produced by Chorus Boy and Salty Pictures in association with Disney Channel, with Oliver Goldstick serving as showrunner for the first four episodes. He was succeeded by Federle as showrunner for the remainder of the first season and thereafter."

has been directly taken from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series which was then transferred to the episode list page. SatDis (talk) 02:38, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bruxton: If you have no problems with this, I will remove the tag. SatDis (talk) 01:30, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mdaniels5757: Thanks! I'm not exactly sure how to use wikimail. I had previously accessed the chapter through the upload [2], but now that has been removed. If the chapter is sent directly to me, also, I'm not sure how I would reference that on a Wiki article? Thanks again. SatDis (talk) 02:25, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, if you already got the chapter and don't need it anymore, that's fine. If you do need it, here's how to send a wikimail:
  • Go to Special:EmailUser/Mdaniels5757
  • Type literally anything (I'm just doing this to get your email address privately)
  • Press send
  • Keep an eye on your email and I'll send the chapter to you.
If the chapter is sent directly to you, you can still cite the chapter the normal way (i.e. as if you had a copy of the book).
Best, —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 12:31, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you today for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, "about the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, which was inspired by the hit 2000s movie High School Musical, and stars the popular singer Olivia Rodrigo."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:04, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Lizzie McGuire

[edit]

On 7 April 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lizzie McGuire, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a revival of the comedy series Lizzie McGuire was ordered in 2019, but canceled mid-production after Disney deemed it not family-friendly enough? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lizzie McGuire. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Lizzie McGuire), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Nickelodeon (Australian and New Zealand TV channel), may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 10:57, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You moved pages without the move menu

[edit]

Hey @SatDis, I noticed you moved pages without the move menu on Wikipedia, examples being Nickelodeon (Australian TV channel) (formerly 10 Shake), and Nickelodeon (Australian and New Zealand TV channel) (formerly Nickelodeon (Australia and New Zealand)). In my opinion, you should've just asked someone to page swap the articles for you, via a Round-robin page move. Yours sincerely, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 11:00, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @TechGeek105: I am unaware of the "Round-robin page move". I did this purely because the new pages already had redirects on them so I was unable to use the "move" option. Thanks again for the information. SatDis (talk) 11:02, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @SatDis. Yours sincerely, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 11:03, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pinging @Liz and @Happily888, who have both produced round-robin page moves before. Yours sincerely, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 11:08, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, SatDis. Please follow the instructions at WP:Moving a page. Don't move pages by cut & paste. I repaired your move of Nickelodeon (Australia and New Zealand) by doing a history-merge (which only WP:Administrators can do). Thanks, wbm1058 (talk) 18:17, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Courtney Monsma moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Courtney Monsma. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 10:40, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cateorizing Bluey characters

[edit]

Hi there!

I saw that you reverted my edit categorizing the characters of Bluey. Could you explain why on that show's talk page? Specialsam110 (talk) 14:27, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

July 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm BlueboyLINY. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Ainsley Melham, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! BlueboyLINY (talk) 07:23, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@BlueboyLINY: All information was previously sourced within the body of the article. I have now added these references to the lead, but I believed references were not preferred in the leads of articles. SatDis (talk) 07:32, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Failed attempt to move episodes into individual season articles of Bluey

[edit]

Because there is over a hundred episodes of 2018's Bluey, I had to move them into individual season articles for digestion reasons, and why did you revert them? 2601:1C1:837F:EFE0:40D4:A5E5:C509:8B3E (talk) 13:46, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2601:1C1:837F:EFE0:40D4:A5E5:C509:8B3: The protocol is to start a discussion on the show's talk page before making such a drastic move. Then, editors can share their opinions and you can gather support. Not everyone will agree that this is the best decision. For example, I would think that individual season articles should provide a unique perspective with additional information to what is already provided on the episode list article. If it is just the same as what the episode list already shows, I believe season pages are redundant. However, if you start a discussion on the talk page, more editors can share their opinions. Failed attempt to separate Bluey minisodes into three batches

[edit]

I had to separate the Bluey minisodes into three batches, but why did you revert the edits? 2601:1C1:837F:EFE0:E5A0:89CE:B83:3533 (talk) 16:32, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2601:1C1:837F:EFE0:E5A0:89CE:B83:3533: Seeing as there are only 20 shorts, and they are all airing within the same calendar year, there doesn't seem to be a need to separate the shorts into parts. Readers can already see the different release dates in the airdate column. SatDis (talk) 00:41, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
