Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Sarah Biromumaisho, from its old location at User:Sarah Biryomumaisho/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. - RichT|C|E-Mail 15:36, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Draft:Sarah Biromumaisho. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. - RichT|C|E-Mail 15:38, 20 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rukh-Shana Namuyimba

[edit]

I've tagged Rukh-Shana Namuyimba, an article you created, as needing more citations. Per WP:V and WP:BLP, all statements that are likely to be challenged, especially in biographies of living persons, need to be supported by citations to reliable sources. A tag has been placed on Michael Matteo Rossi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Help editing living person's article

I need help with an article I created. I am finding problems with citations of this living person Biography. Even with credible sources, I have received a notification that they are too many. Also, I saw that some people may be uncomfortable with their names mentioned on Wikipedia. The subject of my article is known for engaging in human rights violations in DRC. If any Admin can advise or help edit the article and make it better. I have published a few articles in the past but I am still learning. This is the article link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celestin_Kanyama?markasread=328081981&markasreadwiki=enwiki

Thank you. Sarah Biryomumaisho

Hello Sarah Biryomumaisho. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sarah Biryomumaisho. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sarah Biryomumaisho|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 08:08, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I am not receiving payment for these creations and payments. I am creating as part of my class work. History of my creations is clear. I am still learning and do not take payment for this work. I apologise if my creations seem so.I am just still in learning stage and this is my project as a journalist perfecting my Biography writing skills. Thank you. Sarah Biryomumaisho (talk) 08:12, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As part of your class work, are you required to create Wikipedia articles?
How did you obtain access to the people in this image to be able to photograph them? 331dot (talk) 08:17, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As I have mentioned, I am a journalist and that photo was taken at State House Entebbe during a meeting between the President and the metioned persons. I am learning how to create Biographies and Wikipedia is the best place for me to learn this. I took a 6 months course in Wikipedia writing in 2020 as part of a class facilitated by African Women in Media, AWIM to encourage female journalists to learn to be creatives on Wiki. It was clearly stated that Wikipedia articles are done freely without even knowledge of the subject and that is what I do. I am sharing here below some of the work I have produced from Training Projects I take part in. I am a legit Award Winning Journalist and Media owner who is only seeking to learn and not profit from this. https://theugpost.com/voices-unheard-maternal-health-challenges-among-ugandas-batwa-community/

Thank you for your answers. As I said at the help desk, Wikipedia has no control over how quickly search engines like Google index new articles. Sometimes it occurs quickly, but sometimes not. 331dot (talk) 09:03, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I just wanted to learn that.
Thanks for the help on my learning and creative journey. Sarah Biryomumaisho (talk) 09:25, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
