Information icon Hello, I'm Fragrant Peony. I noticed that you recently removed content from United States Student Association without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Edit war?

[edit]

Hi there! You seem to be involved in an edit war at United States Student Association. Please move the discussion to the talk page of the article to find some sort of consensus about the changes you are wanting to make. Continuing to revert the page back to your preferred revision can result in your account being blocked. Joyous! Noise! 18:39, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An agitator who was banned from this organization for sexually assaulting a staff member and is accused of assaulting others continues to falsely list himself as the leader of USSA on this page. I have no way of dealing with this other than reverting his edits. Samside26 (talk) 18:44, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are there any published sources to verify this? Actually, is the organization still active? I was looking for some sourcing last night, and really couldn't find much that is current. Joyous! Noise! 18:46, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's going through a restructuring. Website is being rebuilt but it's still an active 501c3 and 501c4 in D.C. Bryan has no verification/source as the leader because he was never a leader. Our Guidestar profile shows the current principle officer. https://www.guidestar.org/profile/23-7211922 Samside26 (talk) 19:03, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The method for dealing with someone apparently deliberately adding false information is to revert and put a warning on their talk page (see Wikipedia:WikiProject User warnings). If they revert, you can escalate the warning. However don't revert a third time within the timeframe. Ideally add the correct information and properly document and/or start an article talk page discussion pointing out the information being added is not correct. It is also possible you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest which would make things a bit trickier. Note that both you and the IP address have been blocked for 24 hours for edit warring; however, the article has also been semi-protected for 10 days from IP addresses or very new accounts editing it. If you don't have a conflict of interest, put the correct documented information in. If you do, put requests in the article talk page about what edits you would like (and the necessary documentation); use the {{Edit_COI}} template in the talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Erp (talk) 04:47, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Joyous unfortunately they have no proof of this also i have proof that the accuser lied. Screen shots are king 71.187.90.62 (talk) 19:00, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, screen shots are NOT king at Wikipedia. Reliable, published sources are the gold standard here. Joyous! Noise! 19:02, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Proof was sent via the Guidestar profile for this organization. Principle officer is listed on the website as confirmed by the IRS. 71.187.90.62 must cease attempts to disrupt USSA websites, pages, social media. He will be served a cease and desist order next week if he continues. Samside26 (talk) 19:09, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Editors may not make legal threats on Wikipedia. Please do not continue with that conversation here. Joyous! Noise! 19:16, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (United States Student Association) for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Joyous! Noise! 19:01, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 07:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your work on Wikipedia. I have no affiliation with USSA but am aware of it still functioning as of this year. I have provided a few articles that refute the 2017 defunct date provided in the cited article. I also see 990s were filed as of 2022. Just trying to provide accurate info.
