Ceda Jovanovic

[edit]

Please take a look at that paragraph at Cedomir Jovanovic. I modified it to make it clear that he was only accused of being part of mafia. I am not sure what did you think was POV about it. The contacts were confirmed by Ceda himself, but actual involvement was denied. --Dejan Cabrilo 16:18, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Pokrajac, I do speak Serbian, but this is English wikipedia after all, and it is reasonable to assume that non-Serbian speakers will read our talk pages at one point or another. I didn't want to be rude or anything. So, what's up? --Dejan Cabrilo 18:01, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Srpska glava

This is Wikipedia not The Goverment of Serbia--Hipi Zhdripi 21:21, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You probably dont know nothing about content of UN resolution 1244. But, this is de jure situation. De facto should be described inside of document. --M. Pokrajac 21:33, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It s not the truth, it s just a interpretation from the serbian governnment, to tell them popullation, that they are loosing nothing. It´s the same thing, like with UCK. Their point of view, they should put in the article " Republic of Kosovo", but not here.I`ve written an article with the subject "Kosovo and Metohija". Both subjects are one the wrong place here, they can be only in " History of Kosovo "In the article "Kosovo" is just place for present information, not for the past or future. No speculation, no propaganda, just facts .Nowhere you let a place for ACTUELL , CORRECT information from Kosovo. Do you acept UNMIK yes/no?--Hipi Zhdripi 21:44, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, you are wrong. Acording the UN resolution 1244, Kosovo is part of FR Yugoslavia. Since, FRY is now Serbia and Montenegro, Kosovo is in it (and in Serbia, too). Please, read resolution 1244, and do changes in article Kosovo than. Unfortunately, you must respect this situation. UNMIK is ofcourse UN administrating service in Serbian Kosovo still. Perhaps, Kosovo should be independent state in future... It is not now! Just see 2nd page of resolution. Than you shell see the words: Reaffirming the commitment of all Member States to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the other States of the region, as set out in the Helsinki Final Act and annex 2. --M. Are you a prophet ? Wikipedia isn`t a religion-book. I`ll not continue this discussion with you. My friend, you have a problem with UNMIK, not with me. Before you don`t say, that you accept UNMIK, we can`t go on. You aren`t able to accept the present.--Hipi Zhdripi 00:08, 2 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You can`t issue your standards. My dear friend, you can`t read English... I wrote: UNMIK is ofcourse UN administrating service in Serbian Kosovo still. Perhaps, Kosovo should be independent state in future... . I accept UNMIK. Everybody accept UNMIK in Serbian Kosovo ofcourse. If you can not understand English, I`ll not gonna discuss whit you. What means "Srpska glava"? --M. Pokrajac 11:56, 2 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure it is not a content dispute rather than vandalism? (See Wikipedia:Vandalism). I think it would be best to follow the steps at Dispute resolution if you can not form any agreement on the article's talk page. Please request protection if the dispute continues rather than reverting too often. Angela. 13:35, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

Serbian portal

[edit]

As the amount of material somehow connected with Serbs and Serbia on Wikipedia grows, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to form a SCG/Serb portal, so that all the articles about famous Serbs, Serb history, the Serb republic etc are more closely interlinked. This would also provide the casual reader with a easy to use encyclopaedia of everything they could wish to know about RS, SCG, the Serb diaspora etc. At this stage I'm just gauging the amount of interest out there for this. If you support this idea, and want to help out, then just drop by my talk page -- estavisti 20:02, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Rakovica's

[edit]

The reason why I removed the links "See Rakovica (disambiguation page)" is because it's unlikely that someone will accidentally stumble upon a page called "Rakovica, Bosnia and Herzegovina" (for example) and then be confused because they were looking for some other one. If they just searched for Rakovica they would get to the disambiguation page and this is a non-issue. --Joy [shallot] 23:21, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I started the vote on which image should be used at Talk:Serbs#Image vote. Please describe your image and say why do you think it should be used.

Unrelated to this, there is a revert war going on Republika Srpska article. Would you please come to Talk:Republika_Srpska#Latest_POV_problems to check the discussion and give your opinion? Nikola 19:32, 17 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What is your beef with the Serbs images?|Slovaks

[edit]

I posted another in the discussion thread. Please explain what is the big problem with these images? The selections are good and I'm graciously accepting peoples' suggestions. More than 4 pictures isnt uncommon on wikipedia. See list of Czechs and list of Georgians. I don't see what's the big deal.

Also, explain to me why you wished to overrepresent the Slovak nationality? Historically they were never very population (under a million in 1880) so it makes no sense why you were so adament about it.

Also, please get rid of that poor image of Slovaks in folk dress....or at least put it on a better page.

Image of Serbs

[edit]

Hi. Can you please see Talk:Serbs and discussion about image of Serbs. Antidote has put his image on article. Since his image does not have majority, can you go there and tell him that he is wrong. Best regards. --M. Pokrajac 00:30, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I don't have a strong opinion on this. I would have picked something simpler -- four pictures at most -- but I don't think this is major enough to be worth an argument. -- Jmabel | Talk 00:33, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The image was clearly voted on hastily to stop the edit war that was going on. Little effort or thought was put into the image and in the end, it was left a bad representation. I tried to compromise by just asking for the removal of the Divac picture - as he barely represents anything THAT important in the sports sector of Serbian culture and his image is just squished in poorly - but seeing as I've been ignored (on several talk pages) I just decided to change it myself. I do have support, though certainly elss than in the original vote. Antidote 07:01, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Serbia and Montegro articles

[edit]

Hi, I see you're in the category for those Wikipedians from Serbia & Montenegro. I'm trying to create a project whereby seperate articles for just Serbia OR Montenegro are written to an acceptable level, especially considering the possibility that 2006 may see the two nations seperate and become independent states. If that were to occur Wikipedia should have articles written to the standard of other national articles. It would be useful to have the input of Wikipedians living in the area. Please post any views here, not at my talk page. Thank You Grunners 18:24, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pobednik-kalis.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Pak21 14:34, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for your note. However, I have to say that it doesn't look to me like that image is in the public domain: there's a copyright notice on the bottom of the page and I can't see anything stating that the images are reusable in any way (although this is quite possibly because my knowledge of any languages other than English is pathetic...). Could you point me to where the image is specified as being public domain? In the meantime, I've put the source on the page and tagged it as {{nolicense}} instead. --Pak21 10:44, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for the clarification. However, if the permission is only for use on Wikipedia, the image is definitely not in the public domain (which means anybody can use it for any purpose). Would {{Copyrighted}} be the right tag to use?

I like your selection of the lady Petrovic - it fits perfectly becasue now we have a religious figure, king, revolutionary, scientist, artist, and writer. I'm wondering if you would prefer this image to the one you put though:

It is the same but with a portrait of Petrovic - somewhat of a hat-tip to her being a painter - plus portraits look better. If you don't like it then you can revert it. Antidote 01:07, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Serbophobia

[edit]

The title refers of the newspaper article says that to "Serbia Is on Trial" which could be interpreted as Serbia as an institution is on trial and not Serbs as people. Last time I checked Serbia is country of many nations. If there are no further objections I will remove this sentance.

Pokrajac I think this is as clear as it can possibly be. The news article does not exemplify what is claimed or at least the title of the news article is ambigious about if it refers to Serbs as people or Serbia as a country. I don't understand why is this being pushed.

On an additional note this article will get nowhere as long as it tries to pin the blame for Serbophobia to anyone especially more contemporary examples like New York Times.--Dado 04:57, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

--Dado 21:05, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Goli_mapa.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Goli_mapa.JPG. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below).

If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Thanks for uploading Image:Goli_otok_zatvor.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Thanks for uploading Image:Grbrakov.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below).

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

...priznanje!

EU lives, but Yugoslavia is dead and Montenegro will be independent, Kosovo also (with no division)

[edit]

You say: "This user supports the European Union". That is right, but "This user supports the division of Kosovo" is not realistic, because Kosovo will be an independent state (of course with respect on minorities like Serbs).
Also Your sentence: "This user supports the peaceful and democratic reunification of Yugoslavia" is odd, because (second) Yugoslavia was same kind of state like the Soviet Union: communist dictatorship. Nobody wants Greater Serbia with war criminals Radovan Karadziċ and Ratko Mladiċ. On the contrary, soon the last mark of former Yugoslavia will lose, on account of the referendum of independent Montenegro.
Yours Sincerely, --PKo 14:56, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Montenegrin language

[edit]

Although You have Serbian as Your native language, You must respect that Montenegrins speak Montenegrin language. Please, look at the official website of the Government of the Republic of Montenegro. Montenegro is not any more Serbian colony.

The Density

[edit]

I'm using the figures already in the site. Why are you protesting? If you think the current density should stay then you have to include Kosovo in the population and the area. Take out your calculator and verify: 7.498.001/77.626 = 96,59  /FunkyFly.talk_   21:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Nikola Tesla article is being randomly vandalized (or so it seems) by the removal of information by random. Now everyone is confusing eachother and reverting back to the vandalized version. Yugoslavia = Greater Serbia

[edit]

"Yugoslavia is a syntagma for Great Serbian hegemony", says sociologist Željko Rutović.
Yugoslavia is dead, hurrah for independent, sovereign and democratic Serbia, hurrah for independent, sovereign and democratic Montenegro and also hurrah for independent, sovereign and democratic Kosovo. I wish these three free republics will be soon members of European Union and Nato.

Hey Pokrajac, there is currently a vote for a version of Wikipedia in Montenegrin. If you want to vote, go to meta:Requests for new languages. There you can vote. Userboxes

[edit]

Some of your userboxes are divisive and possibly inflammatory. They have nothing to do with the spirit of wikipedia. Please remove them. TheCooler

The Kosovo one may be opposed by Albanians and by reading further up your Yugoslavia box is opposed by someone else who thinks it is a call for greater Serbia. I'm not commenting on your political views but just want you to reflect on whether people will judge you for these boxes instead of your work as a result. It creates divisiviness and "sides". Thanks for uploading Image:Orthodox-Church-in-Banja-Luka.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.

All media you add to TravelBlog remains the property of the copyright holder. No title of ownership at any time passes to or is implied to pass to TravelBlog.

--dcabrilo 18:01, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir,

As I understood and it is public knowledge that Wikipedia is objective, not religiously nor nationally oriented international site.

As I am informed, no personal or religious beliefs are supposed to be expressed through this site.

Your qualifications on website B92 could be your personal belief and view which is not corresponding to real true fact. You have asked me to quote source and then you have intentionally removed it, so you can promote your favorite site (B92).

Please stop using superlatives, using claims and read all Wikipedia’s editor guidelines. You should rely on objective criteria and not on personal indoctrinations or emotional beliefs.

Moldavia

[edit]

As a Bavarian is a German, a Sicilian is an Italian, the same a Moldavian is a Romanian. I am a Moldavian, but I belong to Romanian nation. The union between Moldavia and Walachia was made by a Moldavian Prince: Alexandru Ioan Cuza. So stop telling lies about us, Moldavians! Dacodava

  • Does not exist a Moldavian language as you voted for wikipedia in moldavian. Moldavian language was invented by soviets. We Moldavians speak Romanian and we made Romania as state by Moldavian Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza who united Moldavia and Walachia! Dacodava
    • If you do not care, see your own problems and do not bother us with your soviet propaganda! Dacodava

Branko's bridge

[edit]

I don't think that Branko's bridge should be on the Branko Ćopić page since it wasn't named after Branko Ćopić. It was called Branko's bridge even before he committed suicide. --Dijxtra 17:52, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. Well, a friend of mine explained to me that the bridge was named after Brankova street which goes to the bride, and that he remembers the street being called Brankova as early as WWII. Also, this weekend I was in Belgrade and User:Zocky or User:Dcabrilo (can't remember which one of them) explained to me that it was called that way before Branko committed suicide and that the fama that the bridge was named after Ćopić is a urban myth. But, of course, I'm always open for sources claiming otherwise. --Dijxtra 18:46, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cuo sam i ja takvu pricu. --Dijxtra 19:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ma, je, cuo sam sta si rekao, al sam kontao da ces se ti pozabaviti time obzirom da si ti dodao referencu na Brankov most, a i tecniji si u Srpskom ;-) --Dijxtra 22:46, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
