Hello, I'm Yintan. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Andy Irvine (musician), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  Yinta 23:34, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

My recent updates to my user page are not shown when I am not logged in

Hello helpful Wikipedians; I re-structured the contents of my user page yesterday and also used the 'hidden' facility to collapse a lot of lists under single-line headers for the reader to click on ('show'/'hide'). Although I saved my changes as I went along, the latest structure of my user page only shows all my changes when I am logged in; when I log out, my user page appears as if I had never made the changes in the first place. I find this rather odd, since all my changes were always effective immediately after I had applied them, regardless of whether I was logged in or out. Very many thanks for any clarification or suggestion(s) anyone might be able to offer. With kind regards; Patrick. Pdebee (talk) 10:18, 26 September 2013 (UTC)

I don't know the cause, but this happens sometimes. I have purged the page to give the servers a kick, which might help. If that doesn't work, you could try bypassing your browser cache - that's Ctrl-F5 in many browsers. -- John of Reading (talk) 10:33, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for the barnstar. That is very kind of you!

Hurdy-gurdy comments

Thanks for your thoughtful comments on the Hurdy-gurdy article. I've responded on the talk page there, but I'd encourage you to make the changes you suggest. They all make sense to me. I have one question on the “imbalance” with regard to the Hungarian tradition, but I suspect that I'm just unclear on your feelings there since it seems to me that you actually want more information added, not some sort of paring back. But please feel free to rework the article. I'd say that 70% of what is there is content I wrote a long time ago and it is time for a good shaking up. If you want to add and restructure in the way you suggest, I fully support you.

Also, thanks for the many small edits you made to the article. That's the most systematic clean-up it's had since I stopped actively working on it some time ago due to changes in job and family situation. While I don't have much time to clean it up now, I do appreciate seeing that someone else is taking care of it. It's much appreciated -Fenevad (talk) 08:45, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
Dear Fenevad, ;-)
Many thanks for making contact, for reviewing my earlier updates & comments on the hg article and for updating both its talk page and mine in this section; above all, I really appreciate your constructive and encouraging comments there, as well as here, and I have now also responded to you there. I am looking forward to our continued collaboration, whenever convenient to you.
Until then, please keep well.
With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee. (talk) 13:59, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello '193.120.135.123',

I noticed that you added an external link to a fansite in the 'External Links' section of the article about Andy Irvine. I just wanted to warn you that it is very likely that your update will be reverted, because Wikipedia guidelines advise against adding blogs and fansites, as explained at point 11. in the list of 'External links to be avoided'.

I have seen fan-sites added to this article (among others) before, and they were soon reverted by administrators and their 'bots'.

With kind regards; Patrick. ツ Pdebee. (talk) 17:21, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
