Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! CpX41 (talk) 14:06, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Bank of Jerusalem, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 14:25, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Beer in Israel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:04, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Template:Economics and Business books, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 22:47, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious topics alert for all pages related to post-1992 American politics

[edit]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Please respond here so I know you have read the above

[edit]

I see you haven't responded on this page yet. Doug Weller talk 10:49, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Doug Weller, I have read those, thank you very much for all the info. I'll make sure I follow the guidelines. O.maximov (talk) 16:53, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for responding. Doug Weller talk 17:23, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It's good to know that there are policies in place when it comes to sensitive subjects... I bet this is a great challenge to ensure civility and neutrality around here. Again, happy to be here, and you can certainly trust me to uphold the rules. O.maximov (talk) 17:36, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi; at topics related to the Israel-Arab conflict, editors are restricted to one revert every 24 hours: An editor must not perform more than one reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period. An edit or a series of consecutive edits that undoes or manually reverses other editors' actions—whether in whole or in part—counts as a revert.

In the past 24 hours you have made several reverts:

  1. 11:00, 19 May 2024
  2. 11:01, 19 May 2024
  3. 11:10, 19 May 2024
  4. 11:18, 19 May 2024
  5. 11:53, 19 May 2024

Please self-revert all but your first revert. 03:26, 27 April 2024. Unbandito (talk) 13:35, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Unbandito, I don't think this is a revert, but one series of consecutive edits that alter the article. If it counts as a revert (and I'm doubtful it does), it probably counts as one. A revert means you cancel, or reverse, the edit of someone else, which I did not do. O.maximov (talk) 14:01, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your confusion, I am still learning the intricacies of the 1RR myself. However, these are reverts. The edits contain strikethroughs, which means you are wholly or partially undoing the work of another editor, and these strikethroughs are not mere grammatical or copyediting changes, but changes that impact the meaning of the article. Therefore, they are reverts. Please self-revert these edits. Unbandito (talk) 14:07, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

June 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hello! I'm Belbury. Your recent edit(s) to the page All Eyes on Rafah appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The slogan pre-dates "Where were your eyes on October 7th", it was not created as a counter to it. Belbury (talk) 12:01, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, overall the content added was based on the Jewish Chronicle and YNET article if my memory is correct. From my understanding both posts grew viral silmotenously, if most sources show otherwise, so be it. Thank you for texting me this explanation. O.maximov (talk) 11:20, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Have you used any other account on Wikipedia? nableezy - 20:51, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Who are you? Why are you asking this? O.maximov (talk) 10:04, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nableezy is a very experienced editor. I'm also interested and I am an Administrator and WP:Checkuser. Why aren't you answering the question? Doug Weller talk 10:11, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no problem answering this. This is my only Wikipedia account, which I opened after having read Wikipedia for many years. It looked strange to me that a user I do not know wrote to me a personal question. It is important to exercise caution on the internet, especially with strange questions. Better safe than sorry. Editing against a clear consensus

[edit]

this ignores a clear cut consensus in an ongoing talk page discussion. I suggest you self revert. Selfstudier (talk) 11:01, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is no consensus, I looked in the talk page. O.maximov (talk) 11:14, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I count 5 to 3. It was 5 to 2, until your POV revert. Selfstudier (talk) 11:24, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At least 5 different editors have reverted and others opposed in the talk page. Read 916crdshn comment in the talk page Talk:Zionism#Use of term 'colonization' in opening sentence / definition. My edit is not POV, please tone down. O.maximov (talk) 11:33, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
