Article

[edit]

Hi Neeshai, I'm the content expert for your class! I fixed one of your quotes on the article The Storm (short story), as it was coming up without a citation to say where it was taken from. While I was on the page I noticed that you created a large analysis section that is only sourced to the book itself. It's nicely written, however I need to caution you that this is seen as original research since it comes across as you drawing on your own interpretation of the book. This doesn't mean that your interpretation is wrong, just that on Wikipedia we can only have analysis that has been done by an authoritative, reliable source like a critic in an academic journal or book. Basically what you need to do is find some reliable sources to back up your analysis. You can include the author on this - the only catch is that the source needs to very clearly and explicitly state what you've written in the article. (IE, we can't infer anything from a passage unless it's been stated somewhere that it means a specific thing.) Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 04:14, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
