Problem: converting cn to fact

On List of Eagle Scouts (Boy Scouts of America), this bot changed changed {{cnote}} to {{Factote}} diff. I presume you are attempting to convert {{cn}} to {{Fact}}— it looks like you need a bit of refinement here. --—— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 22:33, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Fixed a long time ago. LegoKontribsTalkM 04:19, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Legobot II changing mergeto tag

Resolved
 – disabled converting mergeto

Please have a look at this, the bot is not supposed to change the date and it even destroys the entire tag. MassimoAr (talk) 21:15, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

I've had the exact same problem here. Please fix your bot. Xasodfuih (talk) 06:20, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Me too. --JaGatalk 11:11, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Me as well here and here. --Saddhiyama (talk) 14:50, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

I have removed it until I can fix it. All errors have been corrected. LegoKontribsTalkM 02:46, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Improper film project tag

Resolved
 – Not the bots fault.

This bot has added The Premature Burial to the film wikiproject twice now. As the article is about a short story, I don't see why the article should be in a film project. I will continue to revert these edits unless there's something I'm missing. --Midnightdreary (talk) 03:08, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

It is also adding the film tag to television serials such as Paradise Postponed and Brideshead Revisited (TV serial)‎. These are not films and should not be tagged for the film wikiproject. Please check this task and adjust the bot so that it does not make these errors. Thank you for your time. MarnetteD | Talk 19:25, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually, all of those articles have the category 0000 films, so bring that up at WP:FILM, since they requested the tagging here. LegoKontribsTalkM 02:34, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Actually none of these articles have any film category tag. Why is it the bot operators always balme someome else for there bots failings. The fact that they haven't been retagged since our requests here shows that something else has been aken into consideration. MarnetteD | Talk 09:55, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
You just removed the categories [1] [2] [3]. If someone else adds the wrong categories to the articles, it isn't the bots fault. LegoKontribsTalkM 01:04, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Diff, not sure if it's just not in the code or if it's an error. But it missed the top tag and hit the bottom one. §hepTalk 22:51, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Category watchlist

Resolved

Hi there. I was wondering if your bot could generate a watchlist for WP:OH similar to a task it already does? Currently our page (here) is updated whenever I remember to and an automated update would be very nice. Would this be possible? Thanks, §hepTalk 01:51, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Should be generated within the next week. LegoKontribsTalkM 00:50, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I think that Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images should be moved to Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files. However, this can only be done together with making sure the bot knows to edit the new page. Can you (the bot's operator) please handle this? עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 16:44, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Missing date and birth tags

I've been working on a list of unmarked articles about living people, looking to add Category:Living people where needed, and I came across this edit. I haven't been sure how to handle articles where there is little information and it is not clear whether the person is still alive or not. I've erred on the side of caution and added the living people category unless they are over 90. But in cases where the birth year is missing as well, it is difficult. There should really be a Category:Current status unknown for those people who are long-retired and have dropped out of the public eye. But I was wondering if you (or rather your owner!) would have any insights into this. Have there been discussions on how to handle this sort of thing? I also came across a fair number of pages where the year of birth was missing, so maybe your bot needs to be run again? Carcharoth (talk) 15:38, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

All the bot does is add date=April 2009 to a template like {{cleanup}}. It has nothing to do with categories. LegoKontribsTalkM 04:17, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Bug

See this diff where Legobot is not functioning properly. Debresser (talk) 11:18, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Fixed The error is a MediaWiki parsing error (mw:Magic words), but I have put safeguards in so that if it does happen like that, the bot will fix it. LegoKontribsTalkM 02:48, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Please review William L. Carpenter - I was working on article and I think your noted concerns are resolved. Jrcrin001 (talk) 10:24, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Legobot, why did you change the infobox template on the Afro-Asian Games? Plese see to it that the infobox is back like it was, otherwise it looks REALLY silly, as the motto is given as 96, and website is given as 2000+.

Please change it as soon as possible.

Ankitbhatt (talk) 10:20, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Legobot has never edited that page. LegoKontribsTalkM 02:58, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Hello Legobot,

Thank you for your comments on Gotjawal forest. I have improved after your comments. Can you please check if the article still needs to be improved?

Protection templates

The last 24 hours I have noticed this bot doing some useless things with protection templates. Is this a new area of activity for this bot? Please respond on my talk page (at least with a {{Talkback}}). Debresser (talk) 10:50, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

That is a task for Legobot III, and it removes wrong protection templates. (BRFA) LegoKontribsTalkM 02:53, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

adding dates to {{fact}}

diff: the bot isn't adding dates to {{fact}} correctly.  —Chris Capoccia TC 08:09, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

this is the same as Debresser's problem above from may 27.  —Chris Capoccia TC 08:11, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Replied above. LegoKontribsTalkM 02:44, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Sorry. I had forgotten about that post. Your bot is not the only one making mistakes... :) So actually this one isn't a mistake, you say? When would the bot have revisted the page to fix it? Debresser (talk) 09:56, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Reverting Smackbot changes

I noticed this at Copthorne, West Sussex. User:Smackbot made these changes. otherplaces3 template moved to the top and Mid Sussex template moved above the categories. Almost immediately, User:Legobot reverted them. I do not know who is right, I am just bringing it to your attention. MortimerCat (talk) 08:33, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, that was an error with edit conflict detection, so it shouldn't have reverted Smackbot. I should have fixed that error. LegoKontribsTalkM 23:25, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

WP:PUF holding cell

Fixed The bot appears to have stopped running on WP:PUF. Any reason? Stifle (talk) 13:02, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Legoktm seems to not be editing much either... I'll see if Anomie can take over, since his bot already does FFD. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 02:49, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, i was on vacation and the bot logged itself out, and as a security measure, it wont edit without being logged in. LegoKontribsTalkM 05:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks! –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 14:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Legobot III is adding visible newlines to articles

Examples:

Melchoir (talk) 04:09, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

I have temporarily disabled the bot until I can update the regex to remove the newlines. LegoKontribsTalkM 00:21, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

The article List of characters in anime and manga who can fly has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

List is overly broad in scope with no value and lacks context. Fails WP:SALAT.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Farix (t | c) 20:59, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Lack of holding cells

Legobot seems to have stopped adding holding cells over at WP:PUF. I have to manually update it every once in a while (because I tend to forget). Just wondering when the bot will be back up adding the holding cells? — ξxplicit 03:24, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated List of characters in anime and manga who can fly, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of characters in anime and manga who can fly. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. —Farix (t | c) 12:37, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Rugby league watchlist

Hi Legoktm, I was wondering if you would mind setting up a watchlist for WP:RL as you have for Canadian football. I've seen your note about being inactive until January so understand if you don't have time to reply now. If you agree it would be great to help to our project. Thanks, LunarLander // talk // 05:21, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
