Today we compared the event page of punjab edit-a-thon in 2 difernt languages.I took English and Malayalam and i didnt find any differences. But the english page was easy to understand than the Malayalam one. they should make it more attrative by adding more pictures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bcomhonours (talkcontribs) 12:03, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We referred to english and kannada language page: There is no much information in the Indian language,no images, not attractive. where as english has all the informations and is more attrctive.

MY SUGGESTIONS: should have more informations, links, images etc.

Differences between English and Indian language event pages

[edit]

English

[edit]
  • Article count is more
  • Less elaborate
  • More article suggestions

Malayalam

[edit]
  • Article count is less
  • More elaborate
  • Less article suggestions

According to me English has a lot of information as comparing to Telugu language and the article count of English has 743 where ass Telugu has 114. And we can improve the respective languages by adding more information and images.

DIFFERENCES

[edit]
  • Malayalam page is more elaborative than english.
  • In English wiki page some topics are missing
  • In Malayalam page the names of coordinators are not given.
  • In Malayalam there are 290 new articles whereas in English there are only 826 new articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deena MD (talkcontribs) 12:04, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

difference between English and hindi article on Punjab-e-thone

[edit]

English

[edit]
  1. was written in good format
  2. was last updated on 30th July has 743 article
  3. nicely presented and advertised
  4. no list of recommendations

Hindi

[edit]
  1. lacked proper invite
  2. last updated on 20th July
  3. not properly presented
  4. there is a good list of recommendations

how can it improve?

[edit]

can refer to English article and improve the Hindi one.

Today I learnt and found out the difference between the same page in two languages, about Punjab edit-a-thon. I felt that the pages could be better and more attractive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sourabh Meda (talkcontribs) 12:08, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion requested

[edit]

Hello, as a friend and also as I feel that you may find this interesting, I request you to comment here. What is Indian English? How does it differ from British English? Do we seriously need a {{Use Indian English}}, or we can continue using British English? Your views with reference will be thanked. --Titodutta (talk) 14:32, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
