It is 99.9 per cent sure I wont be at the Wikimania later this year in Italy, but if it was over a coffee, there would be up to 4 coffees, the specific problem with dealing with black holes in content and subject areas on english wikipedia is something that takes quite a lot of larger issues about methods and measures of measurement (sorry not good english) as to effectiveness of removing the major impediments to dealing with the black holes. My attempt at an IEG some years ago struck a very very limited imagination group of assessors, and a system that is deaf and blind as to how to deal with things that are less clear in a metric obsessed assessment system. because of the metric obsession of parts of the IEG process, it would be well worth looking at any earlier IEG proposals in similar area - either succesful or not - and see how they go/went - there should be archives on meta for earlier IEG in the same subject area JarrahTree 12:41, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ruth Gentry article

[edit]

Thanks for inviting me to look at your IEG/Women are everywhere page. I think it looks good, but I am not an expert, by any means. I am not sure I will have time to contribute to your project, but I will keep it in mind.HugSnugBugRug (talk) 07:48, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the link,

[edit]

I have not looked at it yet, but already have a suggestion. If you put something, anything, on your user page then your user name will change into a blue link rather than being the red one that it is now. This suggests to others, or at least to me, that you are not the dead end that red links suggest and that perhaps you are even a serious editor who intends to stay around. The "User Page" tab at the top left of this page will change color too. Consider it, Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 15:26, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your English is very good. As are your project goals. As you know we are engaged in our own version of it on English wikipedia. Unfortunately for me one of the side effects of my eye surgery a while ago is that the meds that I take seem to make it more difficult for me to focus and concentrate and wikipedia is where this shows up. Carptrash (talk) 15:53, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please keep me informed about your project. I have developed a very slow, plodding style of editing these days that is more in keeping with my physical abilities, or lack thereof. Also, I live and take care of my 93 year old mother - who just got up, so it is breakfast time. Carptrash (talk) 17:59, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Grant for women's articles

[edit]

Hello, thank you for asking me to review your grant proposal. I have put my comment on the page. I wish you good luck with the project and I can offer help in a limited way, as I do not speak Italian, but some of the other taskforces may be able to offer assistance or how to round up volunteers. Digital Anthropology research

[edit]

Hello Kenzia, My name is Stephanie Barker and I am a student at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am currently enrolled in a Digital Anthropology class, which attempts to answer how the digital world affects culture and how culture affects the digital world. For my final project I am doing an ethnography on women Wikipedia users and as a member of the WikiProject Women page I was hoping I could ask you some questions about your experiences editing Wikipedia pages. 1. Have you ever been locked into an intense editing war? If yes, please explain the situation to me. 2. How did you become interested in editing Wikipedia pages and did you have any initial fears/hesitations when you started editing pages? 3. Have you ever been a victim of a mass deletion or other vandalism on Wikipedia? If yes, please explain the situation to me. 4. How would you describe your gender? 5. Is there anything else you would like to share with me about your experiences as a Wikipedia editor? I would like you to know that I am only sharing my research with my professor and the other students in my class. If you would like me to send you a copy of my final project, I would be more than happy to! Sincerely, Stelba90 (talk) 01:06, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for help

[edit]

Hi,

I was looking for some small help.Recently I created a new article en:Kithaab i.e. es:Kithaab-a play about women rights issues- which has been copy edited and is ready for translation in various languages.

In a recent discussion your friend Johanna-Hypatia enthusiastically suggested your name for Italian language translation.

Looking for your possible help in translating the article en:Kithaab es:Kithaab to your language i.e. Italian language. If you are unable to spare time yourself then may be you like to refer the same to some other translator to get it translated in their own respective languages.

Thanking you , with warm regards
