Especially seeking uninvolved Wikipedia editor help with this

I have had both, in the current new SANDBOX article and the original article grammatical and positioning amended by editors without any comment - so requesting anyone who reads the new article and the associated comments to please leave your thoughts as a definitive direction and indication for administrators to see what general views are.

Helped User:Hill-George/sandbox 16:57, 13 February 2013 (UTC)Hill-George (talk) The original article: Hill- George(Chef) was deleted I have placed an amended version for wiki editors to suggest edits Please read my sandbox article and edit- improve or make and suggestions.

The deleting administrator suggested that I place the article in my sandbox and request help from Wikipedians. The reasons given for the delete:

- Insufficient evidence provided to establish notability or reliability. - Article was seen as a conflict of interest

Re notability: I have boxes of independent print media mainly, Industry newspapers, magazines, and articles, certificates, medals that can verify the content of the article as factual, reliable and my notability within the sphere of the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. Notability may be established - however 90% is in print media form.

I have the dilemma of being a chef in the field of “cookery education” with substantial notability having been responsible for the education of approximately 28 thousand people in hospitality programs mainly chefs and within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Australia wide, 03:26, 13 February 2013 (UTC)Hill-George (talk) however having not owned a hi profile restaurant or being on Television and not appearing regularly in newspapers or TV shows was interpreted by wiki editors as shallow / narrow notability.

I can provide references, copies of articles, certificates etc. How do I establish this type - level of notability to Wikipedia editors? I have scanned examples and added.

Please readers apply a bit of logic:

Would anyone who has received from the two major professional chefs associations, their highest award a professional chef in Australia can be conferred with: -Black hat and - Pioneer (Cookery Sector). Achieved Award for excellence in the National Foodservice Association annual awards (Foodservice and Management Sector). Received from two other hospitality and tourism industry national foodservice suppliers their major industry award( Food and Equipment supply sector) and not be notable in one of the largest industries in Australia.

Would anyone who has retired from a very successful career and already achieved their goals be interested in self promotion?

Who has placed only irrefutable achievements as a historical record and with the only interest, is in assisting others in the industry as a mentor

How also do I avoid “conflict of interest”, the article was limited to a synopsis of factual, incontestable events that have had a historical affect on the commercial cookery industry in Australia. I personally know many of the current Ausralian Chefs who are identified in Category "Australian Chefs" and many can varify what my influence has been in cookery/chef education.Hill-George (talk) 16:57, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would be very grateful for a wiki expert to assist with edits/comments.

The main problem is Autobiography
While we know some people write their own articles, it is not desired. Someone else, and someone not connected to you should be writing it. Sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it is our guideline.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 22:05, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for comments - appreciated. Yes I understand guidelines, while”discouraged” there are exceptional circumstances which can and should be considered as reliable. My catch 22 is: because I am not in mainstream media, wiki literate people / editors do not know about me and therefore the probability of someone outside the Tourism and Hospitality Industry adding an article is literally zilch.

I personally believe it is not ethical for me to ask someone else to add article and I do not use or have access to marketing agencies to do this. You could ask a hundred thousand chefs, who would not know how to add a wiki article? and lucky if one understood how to do this. I would also suggest there is a significant difference between an “ autobiography” which states "what a person has done or believes they have done" ( Undoubtedly bias and dependant upon the writer) and a manifestation which is, what has been done to a person. (Documented awards and achievements, unbias irrespective of the writer).Hill-George (talk)
