Your edits

[edit]

I can see you've been careful to blank the page here and ensure other editors' complaints about you are no longer seen. At Ringo Starr: a) Perhaps you would consider not reverting another editor when in fact the edit you go on to make is substantially different from the one you made beforehand. (In other words, what I was reverting you for, partly, was introducing repetition into the lead.) And b) Strictly speaking, you need to get consensus for anything more than a minor change to a Featured Article – which reworking the lead section certainly is. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

August 2024 Edit Summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello Everyone But You. Please provide a summary of every edit you make. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history. Summaries help other editors by (a) providing a reason for the edit, (b) saving the time to open up the edit to find out what it's all about, and (c) providing information about the edit on diff pages and lists of changes (such as page histories and watchlists). Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit and a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. As a reminder: When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Many who are ignorant of the Wikipedia policy on edit summaries fail to add them. Some ignore this basic brief task; however, failure seems arrogant and inconsiderate specially since summaries are so easy to add. According to Wikipedia's consensus policy, all edits should be explained —either by clear edit summaries, or by discussion on the associated talk page. Thank you for your consideration. Quaerens-veritatem (talk) 08:58, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

August 2024 Please Add Edit Summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello Everyone But You. Quaerens-veritatem, again. I noticed you edited Margot Kidder without an edit summary. Again, please provide a summary of every edit you make. Failure seems arrogant and inconsiderate specially since summaries are so easy to add. According to Wikipedia's consensus policy, all edits should be explained —either by clear edit summaries, or by discussion on the associated talk page. Notice

The article Winter Wonderland (Paul Carrack album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NALBUM

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
