Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Battle of Linyuguan, you may be blocked from editing. DarkMatterMan4500 (talk) (contribs) 14:28, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Balhae. Please also read Help:Edit summary; saying "fixed typo" when you were making broader edits is considered dishonest. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 05:01, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of tributary states of China and removing sourced statements

[edit]

Thank you for starting to use descriptive edit summaries. Regarding your edits at List of tributary states of China, I see that you feel a number of states are included incorrectly. However, as these states' inclusion is backed up by citations to a number of sources, you can't remove them just because you disagree with those sources; for that reason, I've reverted your edits. If you think that the sources are unreliable, or that they don't support the claims being made, or if you can present other sources that disagree, I would encourage you to raise that matter on the article's talk page and see if you can reach a consensus on the matter. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 09:57, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop edit warring (and please read the policy I've just linked). Resolve the matter on the talk page first. All you'll accomplish by repeatedly removing the content is getting yourself blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 23:17, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of tributary states of China; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. If you remove content from this page again, I will have to report you for edit warring. -- Tamzin (she/they) | o toki tawa mi. 21:39, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:46, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at List of tributary states of China. Hello, I'm Asartea. I noticed that in this edit to List of tributary states of China, you removed content without adequately explaining why. You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (List of tributary states of China) for a period of 48 hours for edit warring.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

@Izno: Just fyi, this user has also been edit-warring at WP:RFPP for the past hour. -- Tamzin (they/she) | o toki tawa mi. 12:11, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware. I'm going to bed. If another admin wants to bump this up for whatever reason, they may, but I thought it more prudent to take care of the article disruption. --Izno (talk) 12:13, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Izno: It's still happening. Robby.is.on (talk) 12:15, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Izno (talk) 04:43, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
