Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:Famousthemovie.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Famousthemovie.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 08:00, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ne nice, Jin

[edit]

Yes, Jin, I know it's you. Be nice to folks. You, of all people, should never use the edit summary claiming someone is a sock puppet. And using morons in the edit summary is considered a personal attack - please stop. Yes, if I filed an SPI this account would be blocked quite quickly, so please consider that. Last chance

[edit]

Jin, if you won't bother to address the concerns raised, this account will be added to SPI, you will be blocked and any articles you've created will be deleted. Jin, you were indeffed before for copyright violations. You've done that here again. You ran into trouble on previous accounts because you ignored concerns others raised. You've done that here again. Your call on how to proceed. Change your ways, or end up blocked, again. Ravensfire (talk) 13:38, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jin, here's the problem. I spotted this, your latest sock within a day or two of creating it. I let you know that in a somewhat subtle way, as you noticed. I didn't file an SPI immediately, hoping you'd keep your edits small and make good ones. You were blocked back in 2010 and indefinitely blocked this year for copyright violations and you've returned to that recently. Yes, it was a copyright violation. When you copy and paste directly, it's textbook copyright violation. As that was the full text for the section, even putting in a source wouldn't have helped. It was pure laziness on your part. I was getting close to talking to Atama about unblocking you, but that's unlikely now. See, you weren't blocked by Atama, so the two of us would have to convince the blocking admin that you'd be a beneficial contributor to Wikipedia and have a better understanding of copyright issues. But you don't, as evidenced by that edit. Probably others as well. That basically kills your chances for a while, Jin. Add in the casual insults in your edit summaries and you've done a good job of showing WHY you shouldn't be unblocked and why this account probably should be blocked after an SPI. Ravensfire (talk) 22:25, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No response, I see. As you wish - back to the SPI, block then delete routine. Ravensfire (talk) 17:06, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please. Dont block me again. As per concern im sorry for that copy paste. I know you didn't block me as you have a big heart my friend. Just a chance bro. And please do not keep in SPI. I m reformin my activities and wannabe a good editor.

[edit]

Walk gently, Jin. Calling editors out by name in edit summaries isn't considered nice. Consider your situation at the moment. You need to tread carefully and quietly, avoiding any drama. I'm pretty sure the IP edits on the Bohra page are you. You need to use the article talk page if there are any editing disputes. Zero exceptions. I'm also hoping you haven't done anymore copy-pasting. Ravensfire (talk) 17:47, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Jin, please be more careful about using the "minor edit" checkbox. this edit and this edit for example aren't minor. Please take a few moments to review WP:MINOR. Basically, if it's just basic copyediting (punctuation, spelling), slight re-arranging of content or obvious, pure vandalism (and read WP:NOTVAND carefully if you want to use that reason), it's okay to check minor. If you are removing information, even if you think it's minor, it's generally not. Thanks. Ravensfire (talk) 16:55, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Don't edit war

[edit]

Jin, please don't edit war. If you get reverted by an editor, use the article talk page or their talk page to discuss the issue and come to a consensus. See dispute resolution for other options. You of all people should not be edit-warring, and yes, you recent edits to Zinda (film) are edit-warring. I don't care who is right on this. Don't hit the revert button without discussion AND coming to a consensus. Ravensfire (talk) 16:40, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Just a quick thanks for changing your warning to Vivek.jain77711 from the edit filter template to the uw template. It's a much friendlier message and some of the standardized templates in the uw group have multiple levels, so you can start with a gentle reminder and move up to more pointed ones if things continue. Be careful with the escalation though, and you generally should start at the lowest level. There's actually a WikiProject that creates and maintains those template. See the pages at WP:WARN and WP:WARN2 for a summary of all the various uw templates.

I think the one you used works, but since they are basically spamming, the {{uw-spam1}} template might have also been appropriate. I also left the user a message explaining why their links were removed and pointed them to the reason why. It might not do anything, but at least we can say we tried. If it continues, I suggest posting something to the Indian cinema task force discussion page asking for assistance and/or advice. Ravensfire (talk) 20:11, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Are you @#$@$ serious?

[edit]

Jin - do not EVER pull something like this again. Using a DELIBERATELY bogus source that you made up is utter bullshit. That's beyond mere copyright infringement (which you have a history of), that returning to the deliberate lies and falsehoods of your past. Do this again, EVER, and you will end up blocked. Understand? Ravensfire (talk) 16:31, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am still furious about this - you owe an explanation over this crap, Jin. I am requesting that this URL be added to the blacklist to prevent you from pulling this stunt again, but you need to explain this and soon. Ravensfire (talk) 16:39, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ravensfire I am really sorry for the heinous act of mine. But the film is unofficial remake. The final version of Mumbai 125 KM and Dead End has an easy comparison for this. Though, the film passed without any lawsuit for copyright vio. Thats another thing that the source isn't available for to prove. I agree that its an wrong offense to add a spam source. But for this an apology is concerned. And same fate faced by Zinda over Oldboy for unofficial adaption. And once again apology for this worse edit. DerevationGive Me Five 06:49, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I. Don't. Care. Neither does ANYONE else on Wikipedia. You didn't use a spam source, you used a DISHONEST source. You used a FALSE source. You deliberately lied. You made up something to support your claim. That's utterly reprehensible. You need to re-examine your personal ethics if you consider that such deception is allowable for minor claims. What happens when you can't find sources for larger claims? Everything you've done is now suspect, Jin. Everything. This is truly a new low, even for you. Good articles

[edit]

Jin, please don't add the good article template to articles that haven't gone through the good article review process. You've done this before and you've been told not to do it before. You don't get to decide if an article meets that criteria or not, it takes a community review process. Ravensfire (talk) 13:49, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You need to answer this correctly

[edit]

Okay Jin. Read this question carefully then consider your answer and any other responses you want to make before responding. Do you see any problems with this edit you made that is still in the article. I'll give you a hint - google the first two sentences. Tell me what you did wrong there, Jin. Tell me how you will fix it and tell me how it won't happen again. Ever. And actually mean it this time. Ravensfire (talk) 01:17, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have returned but decided to ignore this question. Jin - respond here or I will take this to ANI where you probably will be blocked again. You are a sock of a defacto banned editor, you have deliberately created false sources, you have lied about image permissions and you just recently adding copyright violations to articles. And EVERY TIME you just give excuse after excuse without really apologizing. Oh, but you won't do it again .. except you do. So respond to my concerns. Ravensfire (talk) 16:25, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ravensfire Salaam, I did the mistake but never engaged in a edit war. But that edit is already rv'd by you. And to this, it was just a mere mistake. And yes the page Chandramukhi Chautala has excess coverages on the news pages of Times of India Still you rv'd it. Thats nice that if excess coverage on a Reliable Source also makes a subject revertable. Anyways no need of telling that. Prior, i didn't did any problems infact i made a quite new pages with reliable source definately they aren't Blogs or Fansites :). Thanks and God bless. DerevationGive Me Five 06:09, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good grief, Jin. No problems? That's a load of crap. Don't you get it yet? You were blocked originally for copyright violations here. You were blocked on Commons for copyright violations. YOU CAN'T DO THAT HERE. Do you get it? Read the WP:COPYVIO page. You, of all people, HAVE to be careful on this. It's bad enough that you created a fake source to include some petty fact in an article but you god lazy and stupid here and copied from a source. And then when you got called on it you were too lazy to clean it up. Yeah, I did revert it. Several DAYS after you screwed up. I'm not happy being your janitor, but I have to be. I don't trust you and you absolutely haven't given me any reason why I should trust you. I'm a defacto mentor for you because I was hoping you'd clean up your act. You haven't. You've gotten better but then you get lazy and complacent and go back to your old ways. This is the last warning, Jin. Period. The next one will simply go to ANI where you'll end up blocked. So think on that, and remember that when you edit. Good editors don't need to be watched because they respect the policies of Wikipedia. You don't - just you editing under this account shows that! But you also don't respect copyright and you don't respect others. You tolerate them, but that's not good enough long term.

Lambert

[edit]

Jin - I reverted the books you added as further reading. Generally, that's for something (interview, article or book) specifically on that person, would be considered helpful information but aren't used as as reference for one reason or another. You can't use them as a shortcut for finding references for notability. I also suspect you just did a quick search and didn't look at the results too carefully. The books barely mention Lambert - just a single line mention in each. That's enough to say they were in a movie, but not enough for the notability tag. Read the WP:NACTOR page for what's needed. Sources like you added show the person was in a movie, but not if they had significant roles. From the the role descriptions of two of your sources, Lambert looks like he was just a bit player, there for a fight and that's about it. Ravensfire (talk) 20:26, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories and sub-categories

[edit]

Remember that when adding categories to articles to use the more specific sub-categories only and not include the parent category. For examples, Category:Films about the illegal drug trade is a sub-category of Category:Films about drugs so only the first category should be used on an article. The rare exceptions are called non-diffusing, and Category:Indian films is a great example of that. Those categories have a banner at the top to help you identify them. See WP:SUBCAT for more info. What made you add a map of remakes here when none of the characters' name is provided? It is surely not required when info about remakes is already provided as a paragraph with inline citations. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:40, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Of course i'm aware of that dude (surely Derivation is an offbeat choice for usernames and i appreciate that). But these tables are being removed these days in GAs (Dabangg is an example for this). Also, can you provide a reliable source which states that Rajotto is a remake of Pokiri? That would be very helpful. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:45, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of maintenance templates

[edit]

Hi, please don't remove maintenance templates as you did here without resolving the problem they address. "Slapstick served with a Punjabi tadka" is of no encyclopedic benefit to a non-Indian English speaker. This is a global encyclopedia, and content needs to be accessible to everyone. Your edit summary "owww shutup" is also needlessly dismissive considering the same explanation I'm leaving for you here was provided in the clarify template. This is the English Wikipedia and we serve a global audience. Non-English content and/or slang terminology is not globally understood. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:43, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate removal of maintenance tag

[edit]

Hi there, your edit here is inappropriate. The plot section is too long. Your options are to fix the problem raised, or leave the tag alone. Removing the template, however, is not an option, as it leaves content that is not consistent with WikiProject Film community consensus. The general Wikipedia community finds the inappropriate removal of maintenance templates irritating, as can be discerned by the user warning templates that have been created. Your combative edit summaries are also not terribly helpful. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:50, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Karanvir Bohra

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Karanvir Bohra you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Digvijay411 -- Digvijay411 (talk) 01:00, 7 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that high resolution images are not allowed under WP:NFCC. Your upload has hence been reverted. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 08:44, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have not even edited the article for once. So you can't nominate it for GA. Have you even bothered reading WP:GA ever?! This kind of repetitive mess might invite some admin action someday. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 08:15, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's not correct. WP:GANI explicitly says that "Articles can be nominated by anyone, though it is highly preferable that they have contributed significantly and are familiar with the subject" (bolding present in the source). Implicit in nominating the article for GA is that you've reviewed the article and believe it meets the GA criteria. Derevation, I'm not convinced you're familiar enough with the GA criteria at this point. While it's great that you want to help out, you need to be more familiar with the criteria and take a critical view when reviewing articles. Your review comments thus far are lacking. Look at Talk:Shreya Ghoshal/GA1 and compare your vague, generic comment to the vastly more detailed and helpful review left by Jaguar. You're starting to get the wrong kind of attention again. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brothers (2015 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 3D game. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on OPPO Mobile, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
