I'm confused about categories! Sorry!

{{Helpme}}

Hello! Apologies for using the helpme tag.. I am confused about categories. The article Pitchfork is in the category Category:Forks which is a subcategory of Category:Food_utensils a pitch fork is a type of fork, but not a type of eating utensil, should pitchfork be in this category? Captain n00dle T/C 15:14, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Not unless you eat with them, no. Could you remove it please? Well spotted, thanks! :-)  Chzz  ►  15:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks very much! I wasn't sure if it was meant to be there as I was unsure about the hierarchy system for categories. =D Captain n00dle T/C 15:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Enzyme induction and inhibition listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Enzyme induction and inhibition. Since you had some involvement with the Enzyme induction and inhibition redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Cunard (talk) 07:00, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

I have closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Enzyme induction and inhibition as procedural keep and list at WP:RFD because AfD is not the proper venue for the discussion of a redirect. Cunard (talk) 07:00, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Cranial nerves

I can't label them. I don't know where the different nerves are. If you can tell me I can do it for you. --Ysangkok (talk) 01:05, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi Captain, there was no reference associated with your addition. Therefore I reverted it. I looked at the Coral Ridge article and didn't see any reference there to school being unaccredited. I also checked the following four lists, http://www.thecb.state.tx.us/apps/consumerinfo/notx.cfm http://www.michigan.gov/documents/Non-accreditedSchools_78090_7.pdf http://www.maine.gov/education/highered/Non-Accredited/UnaccreditedSchools-07-06-07.rtf http://www.osac.state.or.us/oda/unaccredited.aspx and couldn't find the school listed on any of those. It is actually not required for me to spend so much time researching. It is the responsibility of the editor adding information to also provide the source for the information. So I felt that I had to revert the addition of Coral Ridge to the list. Please notice that all other schools in the list have a reference associated with them that says that the place is not accredited by a recognized accreditor. If you look on the talk page this requirement was vigorously debated and the consensus was that Wikipedia policy requires all potentially challenged information to be properly sourced. After reverting, I noticed that you seemed to be a very experienced editor and thought that my edit comment would explain sufficiently. Regards, TallMagic (talk) 16:16, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I just checked the four lists above for Freedom University and Seminary and didn't find that one either. I'm sorry that I had to revert your edit. On the list talk page, the idea of looking up a school on the lists of accredited institutions and using that as a reference was deemed to involve original research. So, it was concluded that couldn't be used to support an addition to list. I don't know what else I can say or do? TallMagic (talk) 16:38, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Twinkle template?

Hi! I noticed that you left a combined welcome/warning on this guy's talk page after you reverted his vandalism using Twinkle. I'm new to Twinkle myself, and I hope you can help me. Did you use a custom template of some kind to leave the warning? Is it something that is like an add-on to Twinkle? If so, where can I get ahold of it? Thanks for your help. Cheers! Inferior Alveolar Nerve Block RfD

Hey Captain-n00dle! I just saw your RfD nomination for Inferior Alveolar Nerve Block. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with an {{R from other capitalisation}} style redirect like that, and there is no chance that it will be deleted via RfD, but if, as the author, you still desired deletion, then you should withdraw the nomination and request a WP:CSD#G7 (author requests deletion). -- ToET 14:42, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! I think I withdrew it correctly.. if I didn't then please give me a slap on the wrist and tell me what I did wrong, I'm not a particularly experienced editor, just helping where I can ^_^ Best Regards, Captain n00dle T/C 23:02, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Catchphrases and appearance

We are trying to update the the following page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Savile

Under Catchphrases and appearance

Just can't understand why updating the page is not permitted, as Wikipedia is an open source web page for people like ourselfs who are not trying to upset or envoke anyone at all.

Can you please explain why we can't update the above mentioned URL Link?

Regards,

Hey John! Thanks for messaging me :-)
Updating the page is allowed, and is encouraged! This is how wikipedia is improved!
The reason I just undid this edit is that the quotes weren't referenced propperly. It is not possible to just say Sourced from the BBC programme "Louis Theroux's weird weekends", you have to use a template and make sure you have ticked all the boxes! May I suggest that you look here and here
Personally, I also didn't think that adding those two quotes made much sense anyway... :-s
Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 16:19, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
p.s. It is not the done thing to change your ip address so that it looks like some one else has written a comment.

Who are you and why are you editing an actual band member's changes?

Can you please stop revising my link? [1] Who are you? [2] I had my surname legally changed, [3]"Larson" is spelled incorrectly, and [4] frankly it is not up to you to decide whether a band member can link to his or her professional page. In my case I work in the industry and I need to clarify the name change for professional reasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Erik Kolacek (talkcontribs) 16:41, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I am Captain-n00dle, just another editor of wikipedia, one of your peers. It is not up to me to decide, however wikipedia has policies on this.
You cannot post links to facebook (see number 10), and you cannot advertise on wikipedia. Feel free to change the incorrectly spelled surname. Also, there is no way of proving that you are a band member, so things that you change need referencing properly, see: WP:Citing Sources
If you have any other questions feel free to message me, Best Regards, Captain n00dle T/C 16:49, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Youtube

Hey, just an FYI regarding your warning to 70.48.242.123 that though perhaps not ideal, there is no blanket ban on YouTube links provided that the links are not a copyright vio. You can see here for further info. Thanks, Valley2city 21:00, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback, although it seems to me that the link is hardly related to the article, it would perhaps be more appropriate on the page of the artist. It is more self-promotion than anything. Captain n00dle T/C 21:09, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Legend

Im confused by what i have done wrong on my account , I'm just trying to post a article i wrote this pass summer by interviewing women in bars for my local paper. I tried using the Html that i know but it still doesn't look right. I was trying to be in quotes and things form other articles about legends —Preceding unsigned comment added by RickyMarkson (talkcontribs) 22:16, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

I reverted this edit, because it is not in the style of an encyclopedia article, and it is in the wrong place. The article that you placed this text on: Legend is all about what a "legend" is, not about one particular legend (for example, whoever this Mr. T person is). I saw that you have tried to create an article on him as well. Unfortunately he is not notable enough for an article. However, you were also writing the article in the wrong way, the language style that was used is wrong, for example:
I interviewed 250 women, which were a small number compared to the ones that had moved, changed their names, died, or just plain refused to talk to me.

Should be

While researching Mr. T, just 250 women were interviewed by a journalist because a number had died, moved or refused to talk about him.

This sentence then requires a reference (and a link) to wherever the information about Mr. T was first published. If it is not published by a reputable paper/website, then the subject is not notable to have an article written about him.

Thanks for messaging me, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 17:17, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Captain-nOOdle

FYI, I'm editting from a Toronto Library computer. I live in Toronto. I have a fondness for Toronto. Some of the other artists listed are good; but this is, for it's content, about the best song on the list. It's musical, funny, somewhat true, and often makes explicit references about Toronto. They have done live concerts on CBC and the song was played, in part, on CFRB, on a daily basis. As for the Youtube video, I wouldn't be surprised if the Arrogant Worms or someone close to them had uploaded it themselves--I'm sure they've done a few searches and if they thought that it was a copyright vio, they would have got Youtube to remove it. Keep in mind that they are in Canada as well and our laws are a bit different--at least until PM has them change. Lastly, are pro-Toronto songs POV?

Now would you be so kind and revert your edit? Thank you.192.30.202.15 (talk) 19:39, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello! and welcome to wikipedia, I do not mind you posting the song, as it is one about toronto, and therefore fine to include in the article, I just reverted the youtube link as a matter of habit. The youtube link doesn't really have anything to add to the article and youtube links in general don't really have a place on wikipedia. Thanks, best regards Captain n00dle T/C 19:45, 30 October 2009 (UTC)

The Unexpected Guest

Hello- You just undid my edit to "The Unexpected Guest" page. You took exception with my removing the entire ending of the play. Many Theaters perform this production annually. Might you think about at least changing the wording to something slightly less definitive and more adhering to the conventions of the mystery genre? I would appreciate it if you could consider it. Thank you very much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LittleDogLaugh (talkcontribs) 21:51, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello I did leave a message for you on your talk page however I will duplicate it here. Please read WP:Spoiler, you need to remember that this is not just information about the play, but an encyclopaedia article on it and so all information is included, to exclude certain information would be censorship. Wikipedia is a source of information, part of the information about this play is the plot, so it is included for completeness. I can understand that you have removed it so that people do not have it spoilt for them, however anyone who reads this section knows what they are reading, and are looking for information about the plot, if they cannot find the plot on wikipedia, where are they going to find it! If they wanted a plot without a spoiler, they should look elsewhere. Regards, 82.8.152.207 (talk) 22:01, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Please make sure the spolier alert goes back up (I tried) for "The Unexpected Guest" page. I attempted to remove the ending in keeping with the mystery genre but was blocked from doing so. At the very least, the spoiler alert needs to be reinstated. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by LittleDogLaugh (talkcontribs) 22:04, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Spoiler alerts are not used on wikipedia, I keep telling you to read this page which tells you this. "Wikipedia no longer carries spoiler warnings, except for [...] section headings (such as "Plot" or "Ending") which imply the presence of spoilers." Thank you, Captain n00dle T/C 22:07, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Universe

Howcome that philosophy is censured by an ¨open¨ medium? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.211.221.72 (talk) 13:22, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not about writing what you want when you want. It is not about adding pointless things to articles. In your two edits, [1] and [2] you are attempting to add some sort of verse about the universe? It doesn't add anything to the article! It is nothing to do with philosophy, and if it was, then it should be notable to have its own article, which it doesn't (see this link). The main point is: it is not notable enough for inclusion in this or any article. Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 13:30, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Who is the judge of something being ´notable´ or not ´notable´? The territory is wikipedia and the knowledge is limited here. So, on we go. Enjoy life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.211.221.72 (talk) 16:32, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Ah, you're quite right! But you appear to be removing a well referenced fact? Facts need to be referenced, find the fact from a verifiable reliable source, then use this form to reference it: http://toolserver.org/~magnus/makeref.php. Thanks, Captain n00dle T/C 14:21, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Well referenced? The 40 million seems to be quoted from King himself. And the other link leads to a total opinion piece by a commentator that doesn't even pretend to be fact. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.152.250.21 (talk) 14:24, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
The thing is that the article says that it is from King himself, and it is the closest thing that we can get to a fact. So it is included for completeness. You seem to want to replace it with "millions of sales" etc. which IMHO is less factual? Thanks, Captain n00dle T/C 14:28, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Message from 92.27.179.241

Hi, I attempted some edits on innovation in response to the request for inline citations and a more encyclopedic style but you undid them. Can you explain why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.27.179.241 (talk) 17:42, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello! I don't know which edit you mean because as far as I'm aware you have only one edit, and that was your message to me. Could you tell me which article so that I know what you mean? Thanks! Captain n00dle T/C 17:48, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see, I undid your edits here because the reference was in the wrong style, it wasn't an inline citation, but just a citation. And I forgot to correct it! I do apologise!!
You can use this tool: http://toolserver.org/~magnus/makeref.php to create the code for you. You place this code next to the thing that needs referencing (without the linebreaks):
<ref>{{cite book
 | last = McKeown
 | first = Max
 | authorlink =
 | coauthors =
 | title = The Truth About Innovation
 | publisher = Prentice Hall
 | date = 2008
 | location = London, UK
 | pages =
 | url =
 | doi =
 | id =
 | isbn = 0273719122
}}</ref>
And then you place this code at the end (if it isn't there already):
== References ==

<div class='references-small'>
<references/>
</div>
Anyway, I have added your edits back, and corrected the reference now, look here
But "new stuff that is made useful" sounds very colloquial, is that a direct quotation? If not, then it could do with re-wording, if you would be so kind!
Thank you for bringing my incompetence to my attention! Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 18:05, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
p.s. I recommend creating an account as your IP address constantly changes and is a poor way of identifying you!

Riders on Team RadioShack

Markel Irizar and Jani Brajkovic are confirmed riders according the following sources...

"According to El Diario Vasco the Spaniard Markel Irizar, 29, will ride for Lance Armstrong’s Team Radioshack.

Markel Irizar leaves Euskaltel-Euskadi after five years to join Team Radioshack, although he had been working with his team on a renewal contract.

Markel Irizar finished 18th in Tour Down Under 2009, and won the mountains classification. At RadioShack he will be joining Haimar Zubeldia, who is also from the Basque province Gipuzkoal.

Lance Armstrong lent his support with a letter when Irizar went through treatment for testicular cancer in 2002. He recovered completely, joined team Euskaltel-Euskadi in 2004 and later met Armstrong at races.

Irizar has not yet commented the move to Team Radioshack."

Jesus Christ.

First off, I have no idea what "nice clock" means. "Nice jargon" I guess.

Second...I'll send you my stamped birth certificate via snail mail if it will appease the gods of Wikipedia. I was born to Joann Ilene Larsen (maiden name Otradovsky, herself born in Schuyler Nebraska) at 10:52 a.m. at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Alameda County. My mother passed away in December of '91, my father was in Vietnam at the time of my actual birth but I'm sure I can find witnesses. I had an African basenji named "Scamp" who died when I was 12.

Third...come on. Facebook is used by everyone in the music business as their de facto work resume. I am very much still employed the music business and being able to cross-reference (and verify) my music for the artists who employ me is how I put food on the table.

I'm not a Facebook kook. "Kolacek" is my DBA and I need to have this article stop changing every time some kid thinks he knows more than the band does. I'm 42 and too old for this crap.

Please, just revert my changes after you talk to the tribal council or whatever. It would be really nice if the link from the (many) artist pages I administer did not make me look like a liar.

An article only needs to state why it is notable for it to no longer be a candidate, it does not even have to reference it. In the case of this article, the small amount of notability has been referenced. It might not pass AFD, but it cannot be removed by speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Stephen! Coming... 17:31, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much for letting me know, you learn something new every day! Although I only mostly tagged it because another user tagged but not correctly, I shall now let them know too. Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 22:00, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Cheers for that. Stephen! Coming... 10:17, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Tony Levin

Hi,

I am the guy who edited Tony Levin's article from 80.24.59.198 (sorry, forgot to log in before editing). I have now added a reference to what I wrote. I did not think it important because the article has nearly no references at all and, besides, the reference page (Levin's own web) will change soon, so the reference will be invalid. Anyway, you are right, I should have added the reference in the first place.Gorpik (talk) 11:28, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks, I should have checked it properly, I didn't think that a band called porcupine tree could be real and from an IP address I just assumed that it was vandalism, I shall live and learn! Best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 13:44, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to wikipedia, I take it that you are referring to me undoing your edits which are blatant vandalism. This will continue until you cease making unconstructive edits or you are blocked. Thanks, Captain n00dle\Talk 11:41, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of -oma

A tag has been placed on -oma, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. 5 albert square (talk) 14:33, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your message, I have contested this nomination by using the {{hangon}} template and by leaving a discussion on the articles talk page. Best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 14:45, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Captain,

I respectfully disagree with your rather drastic decision to remove all external links. The first link is the committee in charge of this specification. The Shufra link refers to an industry expert and frequent speaker on the subject who is a member of the committee. The Boeing link refers to one of the major aircraft manufacturers that use and support the standard; again, they are also on the committee.

The problem with the links has been that someone from Tedopres has been deleting and adding links at random. They are not recognised experts, nor are they on the committee.

It is exactly the three links currently listed that can shed light on the spec and its practica implementation; in fact, they should be encouraged to elaborate on it rather than to face these repeated scams. And although I fully appreciate your intentions, removing the relevant links is hardly helpful, as we are talking about those who actually crafted the spec, which is non-commercial in that anyone can use it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Steguru (talkcontribs) 16:10, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello and thank you very much for your message. I can see your point of view, and it makes total sense to include the links which you mentioned. I should have perhaps inspected them and the article in more detail before discounting them all as spam, thank you for correcting the article. Thank you very much for taking the time to message me and make me aware of my mistake, I shall try to not be as drastic in the future with my editing. Keep up the good work and please, feel free to message me if you need any help with anything. Best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 16:17, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Captain. The frequent spam attacks have been bothering me as well; given changing IP addresses, what can we do apart from checking back regularly? Is there any way to have such chnages moderated or automatically checked for recurring spam? Steguru (talk) 16:32, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

There are bots which check for spam links, but their patterns are very basic. If page vandalism is a problem for a certain page you can protect it from anonymous editing here: wp:rpp. Thanks! Captain n00dle\Talk 16:48, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

User / IP 193.62.251.47 continuing to vandelise my Salsburgh wiki

Hi Captain Noodle

The idiot using IP 193.62.251.47 continues to vandelise the wiki entry for Salsburgh, which I worked very hard to maintain and get up and off the ground.

He has many warnings and is constantly vandelising Salsburgh and many other wikis, please ban him.

He is a nuisance. --Brett ~ KaraokeMac (talk) 06:36, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, I was away for a short while, but I will keep my eye on them, best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 12:19, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Fujifilm FinePix S1000FD, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page.

If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. That is nice, but until you add statements that are referenced properly with a verifiable source, they will be removed and you will be blocked. Attacking other editors is not acceptable and will get you blocked very quickly. Captain n00dle\Talk 15:32, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

You know what Mr Noodle, some might consider the methods you adopt to be a form of [stalking] 94.192.243.100 (talk) 13:14, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Blogs are not reliable sources see wp:citing sources and wp:notability. And it's not stalking it is a semi-automated vandalism reversion tool. Have a nice day! Captain n00dle\Talk 13:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Frontier Market investment

the link I placed on the page, simply refers to a non-for profit, information source and community for frontier market investors and managers. i feel this should be referred to on Wikipedia. can you tell my why you removed the link please? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.219.153.190 (talkcontribs) 15:40, 10 January 2010

Links in wikipedia should be links to sites explaining the subject matter better or further (they are not "legitimate articles about commercial entities"). These links do not expand on the material contained in the article but seem more like spam, since they are blogs and social networking sites. Please see wp:spam. I hope I have explained this okay, regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 16:13, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Attack pages

Hi. With Alexa blanco just now, you were quite right to tag it for deletion, but {{db-nonsense}} wasn't the right tag - that's only for things like "7@#!%%9*@@" or "Yaaaaaaayyyy LOL!!!" The right tag for an attack page like that was {{db-attack}} (or {{db-atk}} or {{db-g10}}, which are equivalent). That puts it in a high-priority queue for admin attention to get it deleted, and also generates a suitably fierce message for you to copy to the author's talk page. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:38, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Ah thank you for your advice! I live and learn for next time, I hope you have a nice day ^_^ Captain n00dle\Talk 13:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Content removed?

Hi, I did not remove content from same-sex marriage, except for some changes in sentence structure in adjoining sentences to the material added. What material are you referring to? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.83.22.23 (talk) 18:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

You appeared to be removing content from the article with little explanation, in the edit which I reverted, you appeared to be removing a perfectly good reference. Regards Captain n00dle\Talk 13:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Myconstitution page deleted

Hello, Captain! The page for Myconstitution that I saved not more than 24 hours ago was deleted. Why was it deleted, and is there any way I can get it restored? Thank you and have a nice day!

Safuan567 (talk) 14:10, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

I can't remember 100% but I think it was because you didn't say why the subject was important. Basically, someone else has to be talking about it in the media, see wp:citing sources and wp:notability for inclusion criteria. Captain n00dle\Talk 13:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding the spy's origins

G'day captain.

I notice you messaged me about an edit I made a couple of months ago to the Team Fortress 2 article. I just thought I'd let you know that the reason I added what I did is because I had, in fact, added the exact same line (that the spy was, "A throaty voiced character of ambiguous origins") to the article previously and it had stuck for a long time (months, in fact), right up until "Meet the Spy" came out and the edit war over the Spy's origins fired up again, with some claiming that the video proved that the Spy was French. After that, the article went back to the way it was before I touched it the first time (that is, not mentioning the Spy's origins at all). I thought to myself, "You know, before that video came out, the edit I made to the article stuck for a long time and was probably the most stable reference to the Spy's origins that anyone had ever made in this article... The Spy's origins really deserve at least some sort of mention given that the origins of all the other classes are mentioned, so maybe I should put it back and see what happens..." So I did... and then you removed it.. Of course, I'm not asking you to put it back, I'm just letting you know why I put it in to begin with... Vor'Cha (talk) 09:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

EDIT: Yep, I found it. I originally added the line, "a throaty voiced man of ambiguous origins (but with an unambiguous penchant for cigarettes)" to the article on the 27th of November 2008 at 3:49 AM UTC. I wasn't signed in at the time for some reason, so it only lists the contributor as the IP address, "58.164.105.81". Various versions of this line (other contributors gradually cleaned it up to eventually read "a throaty voiced character of ambiguous origins with a penchant for cigarettes") lasted until the 8:03 AM UTC on the 17th of May 2009, where a contributor with the IP address "98.202.3.91" changed the line to read, "a French-accented character of ambiguous origins with a penchant for cigarettes", which caused the edit-war regarding the Spy's origins to start up again and ultimately caused my line to be deleted entirely... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vor'Cha (talkcontribs) 09:55, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Mimi Blaze

Hello, so if I link to her porn page is that sufficient, or? because she does not list rapid city as her residence on any of those pages.

71.10.67.210 (talk) 10:34, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I apologise for not explaining further, what you received was an automated message. I am not questioning that Mimi Blaze is an upcoming adult film star, however she isn't notable enough to have a page written about her, so cannot be included in this list. For wikipedia's notability policy see WP:notability. I hope I explained this to your satisfaction! ^_^ Captain n00dle\Talk 10:40, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Are you from Rapid City, she is kind of a local celebrity. 71.10.67.210 (talk) 23:57, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

The information deleted from the Kennington page is election boxes with no information on the results added. They should remain off the page until someone has the data to hand to add. 88.211.192.151 (talk) 09:52, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Ah apologies, I can immediately see what you mean, it just appeared to be page blanking vandalism. Thanks for alerting me to my mistake! Captain n00dle\Talk 09:55, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Dear Sir, Could you please explain me, why you mark the page from Marcuard Family Office for deletion?

Best wishes, Simon —Preceding unsigned comment added by Minders1 (talkcontribs)

Hello Simon! And welcome to wikipedia. It is not me that originally tagged the article for deletion, it was some one else here. However, it is not up to you to remove the template from the page, the decision is not up to me either, it is a wikipedia administrator that will decide whether to 1) delete the article 2) not delete the article or 3) put it up to a council for a decision. The reasons for the deletion are given on the page its self, but if you want to contest this add "{{hangon}}" to the page, and provide your arguments here: Talk:Marcuard Family Office. Best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 15:12, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Father's Day page

How is the link inappropriate it is a review of the episode described in the wikipedia article. Therefore, it is more information relating to the page. Furthermore, it is no different then the two other review links. Why are they allowed to stay?TOTH42 (talk) 15:24, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Hello! The links you're adding are self-promotional, and according to wikipedia's guidelines on external links, they are not suitable. Thanks, best regards, Captain n00dle\Talk 15:30, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

So once again what makes these different then the other sites already on the page? Are they sites that you like so its okay for them to stay up?TOTH42 (talk) 15:34, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

The website that you keep linking to was only created three days ago. That is the main difference, the other difference is that because it was created so recently, it is not reputable and unheard of, this also lets me conclude that you must therefore, you must be the owner, and this is self-promotion, I.E. SPAM and must be removed. Captain n00dle\Talk 15:38, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

So because of the fact that the review was written and posted recently its not allowed? Did you read it to see if it was full of "spam"? Its an informational webpage on an information based website.Hardly seems a stretch. Also do you honestly believe people posted those other pages on their own? Even if someone did post them on their own. How would you know you would just take them down again.TOTH42 (talk) 15:43, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

The website is not spam, placing the link all over wikipedia is spam. The website is recant, and therefore cannot be counted as a reliable source of information. Captain n00dle\Talk 15:47, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
I highlighted the relevant information for you here Captain n00dle\Talk 15:50, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the information. Sorry for my frustration I am new to wikipedia and was expecting a different environment but I will work through it.TOTH42 (talk) 16:12, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
