Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Calfracsets. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Reliable sources

[edit]

The rules for reliable sources are discussed at WP:RS. In particular, addition of a large number of primary sources, many with unclear connection to the article and method, as you did at Fixed-point iteration, is not so helpful. Wikipedia prefers secondary sources. A numerical analysis book would be helpful there. Or what is the best of the sources you suggested at Fixed-point iteration? Comment that there is this Springer book by Das that makes the connection with fractional calculus. It might be worthwhile to get the attention of some folks with more expertise from WP:Wikiproject Maths. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 13:42, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
