Trachylepis gravenhorstii, also known commonly as Gravenhorst's mabuya, is a species of skink, a lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Madagascar.[2]

Etymology

The specific name, gravenhorstii, is in honor of German zoologist Johann Ludwig Christian Gravenhorst.[4]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of T. gravenhorstii are rocky areas, grassland, shrubland, and forest, but is also found in coffee plantations and ylang-ylang plantations.[1]

Description

T gravenhorstii may attain a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 7 cm (2.8 in), and a total length (including tail) of 18 cm (7.1 in).[3]

Reproduction

T. gravenhorstii is oviparous.[2]
