Separate district from city and tehsil

[edit]

This text needs to be edited to separate the district information from the city and tehsil information. There is a separate article Zhob District. --Bejnar (talk) 06:06, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One of the problems with the article was that it took information from the Encyclopædia article on Zhob, which was about the district and valley, and introduced it into this article. I have been doing some rewriting on this article, actually coming to think of it, the link to the wikisource article should be in the district article as that is what it relates to. Christian Cemetery

[edit]

Please change the following text as you wish. I grew up in his Zhob, and I am a graduate of government high school in Zhob. I left zhob when I was 15 years old and had been there only once since my departure at the age of 15. I returned by plane and I recall that the present Airport is approximately located where the old aerodrome was located. An interesting part of that part of town was the Christian Cemetery which was later on vandalized and totally destroyed. I remember a beautiful grave with upright marble cross which belonged to Mr. Barnes, the political agent who was murdered by a tribesman who was later hung in Machh prison. Does anyone know that story? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.212.20.32 (talkcontribs)

Former name

[edit]

Zhob wasn't formerly known as "Mandokhail"; rather, that's a caste that exists in the city. It was formerly called Fort Sandeman and Apozai. Hafsa Sherani (talk) 18:56, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
