This is not a uniquely Roman Catholic hymn. It is sung in other Western Christian denominations (e.g., throughout the Anglican Communion). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claypoint2 (talkcontribs) 00:29, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would anyone have any objection to laying the translations out in table rows, so that it would be much easier to follow across? Maybe we could restore all the translations being on the same line, as well?

Audrey Assad wrote a new melody for her 2016 album, “Inheritance”. We should either place this in the “Music” section or the “Contemporary Versions” section. Hellenophile07 (talk) 23:23, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Translating Caritas as charity misses the 'love' aspect of its meaning in Latin. I would suggest 'loving kindness' or 'love' or agape (the Greek equivalent).
