[edit]We, the members of Tantua International High School Pioneers Old Students Association having firmly resolved to pursue the aims and objectives of our Association, do hereby commit ourselves to make, enact, and solemnly pledge to adhere to the tenets of this CONSTITUTION.
ARTICLE I — GENERAL PROVISIONS
(A) SUPREMACY OF OUR CONSTITUTION This Constitution is supreme for the purposes of regulating the policies, programs, and activities of Tantua International High School Pioneers Old Students Association, subject only to the provisions of the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria and the relevant enactments of her Legislature.
(B) NAME This Association shall be known and addressed as Tantua International High School Pioneers Old Students Association, hereinafter referred to as ....TIHSP....., and shall be situated in Nigeria.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The aims and purposes of the association shall include, but not limited to the following: To be a non-profit, non-political and voluntary organization.
To help strengthen teaching and learning at our alma mater.
Support and collaborate in any viable projects, activities and programs; educational or otherwise, as may be initiated by the school’s administration, benevolent organizations, PTA and school board to salvage, sustain, uphold, promote and protect the image of our alma mater.
To promote and nurture a close relationship between members and with current students of Tantua International High School, Port-Harcourt to enable members of the Association to serve as role models to students of the school.
To promote at all times the welfare of members of the Association in areas to be determined by the Executive Committee and consented to by all members at a general conference or meeting.
To establish and foster relations with other Old Students Associations in Nigeria and abroad in order to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
To maintain high standards of ethics, conduct, etiquette and discipline among members of the Association.
To serve as a medium through which the old students may speak and act, and unite on all matters of public interest.
To promote the spirit of fellowship amongst members by seeking one another’s interest through visits, correspondence and when occasion demands, give moral, financial, social, professional assistance, etc.
