About reference (iwmbuzz.com)

[edit]

Hi @Sid95Q:, I want to talk about this edit. You said that iwmbuzz.com is a spam link, I do not agree here because the website has verified Facebook page.Zafar24Talk 22:41, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Chrissymad: Your take on this. Sid95Q (talk) 23:02, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Sid95Q: Okay. I will give you an example. There is a similar website dedicated to Indian television TellyChakkar.com and it has a TellyChakkar Facebook Verified page. I mean to say that if a website has a verified social account then that website is reliable to use in Wikipedia.Zafar24Talk 23:23, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

verified means nothing. Iwmbuzz is literally a wiki. Neither Tellychakar or IWM are RS. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 02:39, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Sid95Q: and @Chrissymad: Verified means every thing in real world. Social media are not stupid that they just give VERIFIED Logo/ Verified badge to that pages of websites.Zafar24Talk 16:09, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Zafar24 It's meaningless to Wikipedia - a publication can be verified and not be a reliable source. See here for example. IWM specifically stands for "Indian Wiki Media" and you'll also want to read the discussion here with regard to what is generally considered reliable for Indian Media. Tellychakkar is a gossip rag-mag type site and not reliable. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:14, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, this article so far as I can tell has almost no reliable sources. As an example, Filmibeat and Pinkvilla are in no way RS, nor is Bollywoodlife. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:21, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Chrissymad:I only agree with Filmibeat is not a reliable source but Bollywood Life belongs to Essel Group which is a powerful group in India and I have seen that Indian tv channels are showing news while they are referring to pinkvilla.com. Zafar24Talk 16:55, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Zafar24 There are several dozen discussions which concluded that Bollywood life is not an RS. Period. Pinkvilla is also a rag-mag and not at all reliable. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 17:07, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agreeing with Chrissymad on these. Verified social media doesn't mean that the content has been vetted for quality or accuracy, it only means that they went through the steps to avoid being impersonated. Absolutely meaningless. (Though I am morbidly curious to know what you actually think "verified" means.) Gossip rags like Bollywoodlife are not acceptable, regardless of who owns them, though I might sometimes give some latitude if we're quoting an interview (primary source) or supporting some piece of innocuous information like a release date. But never for financial figures or other content. Same with IWMBuzz, which describes itself as part advertising agency. Wikipedia is not a shill for promotional content or for the sites that do the promotion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:15, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Based on Kabhi Alvida Na Keha

[edit]

@Zafar24: First source says "loosely based on SRK, Rani Mukerjee and Preity Zinta starrer Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" while the second source says "Silsila-Badalte Rishton Ka story revolves around extra-marital affair and sounds similar to the blockbuster film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" there is no proper source which says it is an adaptation of that film. This section is only used if the adaptation is officially based on previously produced or published material with a proper reliable source. We don't add unofficial remakes/adaptaions or works with plagiarism issues. Sid95Q (talk) 00:02, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Sid95Q: Okay. I wrote that info in Background and production section under writing. I change the word 'based' on to 'similar'.Zafar24Talk 00:40, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi @Muhsutan25:, Please stop your disturbing wrong edits on main cast and guest appearances.

First, As Nandini is still wife of Rajdeep because Rajdeep doesn't gave divorce to Nandini.

Second, Arjuna Bijlani doesn't came in the serial. Zafar24Talk 00:06, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary

[edit]

FYI, I did some copy edit on List of Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka episodes. It could use a little more attention by someone knowledgable and some updating. The plot summary here is redundant with the plot summaries in the episode table. Under these conditions, MOS:TVPLOT recommends that: the plot summary at the series article should be replaced with a simple overview or premise section that allocates around 100 words per season. – Reidgreg (talk) 15:00, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Protect the page

[edit]

Hello , Someone is trying to edit the Silsila page but adding a false news like adding Reyhna Malhotra who isnt the cast of the show and always editing the cast surnames for which I have valid reasons for editing Mauli is now married to Ishaan to which she becomes Mauli Khanna and her daughter Mishti even before her mother married her foster father she used to refer him as her father and after the marriage of her mother to her step father she becomes Khanna as well So please see that the page is protected with these changes Anu1999 (talk) 01:15, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy section

[edit]

The controversy section should be deleted. Currently I have it flagged for cleanup, because we shouldn't have a Controversy section at all per WP:CSECTION, but I also just don't see what's so important about internet trolls or responses to them. It's a common cost of doing business in entertainment. There was a confusion, people complained, so what? Are we going to care about that in 10 years? No. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:51, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cast Section

[edit]

I am inviting Wiki editors to kindly leave suggestions and feedback on the cast section. User RonakshiStan is constantly removing reliable sources from this section and has been reverting edits made in good faith. Please also help in deciding the level of detail to be provided in the cast section for each character and why it may be unnecessary and against WP:TVCAST to be including time periods for which characters appeared given that this mostly one continuous season. Please contribute to this discussion as user RonakshiStan is making similar reverts to edits on other pages - removing reliable sources and adding extra detail. Random references

[edit]

In this edit, I removed a bunch of references from the article that were just hanging out with no context. I think they might have been part of an episode list at one point. See this version of the article. Here they are below in case any of them are useful.
