Spelling

[edit]

It should be spelled Şatlaq's song; Chechen has already a Latin alphabet and words from Latin alphabet are not transliterated in English. Even if you want to write it phonetically, it should be "Shatlak". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.23.254.95 (talk) 19:49, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I renamed the page from Shtalak's Song to Shatlak's Song. Chrisahn (talk) 22:54, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Shatlak's SongState Anthem of the Chechen Republic – Officially titled «Нохчийн Республикин шатлакхан илли» in Chechen and «Государственный гимн Чеченской Республики» in Russian (both meaning 'State Anthem of the Chechen Republic) – refer to Chechen and Russian Wikipedias. Nowhere in the Russian Wikipedia is «Песня Шатлака» ('Shatlak's Song') mentioned. 88.119.161.135 (talk) 17:08, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment We are not concerned about the Chechen-language or Russian-language common name, but the English-language one. Are there English-language reliable sources that support the name "Shatlak's Song"? Ping @Munmula:, who originally moved the article in 2011. 162 etc. (talk) 17:52, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
