Nearby?

The lede in this article states:

Rodriguez Seamount is a seamount and guyot located in the Pacific Ocean about 150 km (93 mi; 81 nmi) off the coast of Central California. It is structurally similar to the nearby Guide, Pioneer, Gumdrop, and Davidson seamounts, all located roughly between 37.5° and 34.0° degrees North latitude.

I would question the use of 'nearby' in this context. Guide Seamount, Pioneer Seamount, and Gumdrop Seamount are all about 300 miles away from Rodriguez Seamount near San Francisco and Monterey, and Davidson Seamount is about half that distance. In contrast, Rodriguez Seamount is much closer (30 miles?) to the Channel Islands off Santa Barbara. Thanks! Tfdavisatsnetnet (talk) 01:58, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
