Clarification

[edit]

"A common trend between the words of the fans and the news outlets was the trend of Activision the amount of developers working for the company that Activision had shut down or made support teams, with Bizarre Creations and Raven Software being at the top of this trend."

I've read that about seven times now, and I still can't tell what the hell it's supposed to mean. My head hurts now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.161.171.218 (talk) 10:13, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Someone should add that Radical Entertainment has worked as a support team for Bungie's Destiny, since they are credited in the game itself.[1] 108.162.189.5 (talk) 22:09, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Omit paragraph/move to different section

[edit]

This paragraph, under Layoffs; Support team, comes across as content not suitable for an encyclopedia:

Following the announcement, Activision would be met by negative outcry. Much support would come from Radical Entertainment's Facebook and Twitter page, with fans calling the publisher Activision "Fucktivision", suggesting to slaughter Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick,. Others would state that the only games the publisher makes that they care about is Call of Duty with them abandoning quality franchises like Crash Bandicoot, Prototype and Guitar Hero series. Some fans would suggest for Electronic Arts to purchase the studio, expressing Activision to be the worst studio in America rather than EA. [17] Some fans would take to YouTube to report on the shuttering of the studio.[18] Such news companies and reporting sites as CBC News,[19] the Los Angeles Times,[20] PC Magazine,[21] USA Today,[22] Huffington Post[23] and IGN[24] would report on the massive layoffs of the company.

The excessive use of "would" comes across as theory/conjecture/opinion, not fact. --FordGT90Concept (talk) 14:50, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If Radical is alive how come their website doesn't work?

[edit]

Usually a studio would have a functioning website — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetechwizard21 (talkcontribs) 21:30, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

They shut down Bizarre Creations, they didnt keep them alive — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetechwizard21 (talkcontribs) 21:32, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Company status

[edit]

@Cat's Tuxedo You recently changed the company's status back to defunct based on the dissolution of a corporation associated with the studio. I previously pointed out that Activision still lists Radical among its active studios. The page was redesigned and updated last year, because of which Vicarious Visions is no longer listed. Furthermore, Xbox's press release on the Activision Blizzard acquisition clearly mentions Radical as one of the studios joining the label. Both indicate that the studio remains active, regardless of the status of the 2005–2013 incorporation. Circumstancial evidence (such as this XboxEra article and several LinkedIn profiles) points to Radical now being the Vancouver branch of Activision's "Central Tech" group. While no reliable source seems to have picked up on this detail yet, I believe that the article should still convey that the studio is active in some shape or form. @IceWelder: I'd say the Xbox press release is sufficient proof that Radical's still a thing. I'll go ahead and take care of that. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 17:08, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
