Expansion of Nationalist Clubs to other nations

[edit]

It was my understanding from research in the 1990s that every nation where the book was a best seller, Bellamy/Nationalist Club were founded, particularly in Germany, which served as the seed for a Nationalism Socialism Party that later merged with the Germany Workers Party. 2601:185:8280:2240:5DA5:8FEF:FFE1:3E51 (talk) 05:20, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Citation improvement

[edit]

I believe we can improve citations in a couple of ways.

  • Put citations in citation template format. This will help standardize citations & allow for additional useful parameters such as ISBN & OCLC numbers. Since this presents the last name first when we list the author(s), this will also make for easier reading of the Further reading section, as the last name is typically the third or second item on that line.
  • Where it makes sense, convert repeated citations to the {{sfn}} format. This will necessitate a sources section with one full citation for a source. For example, Lipow, Authoritarian Socialism and America, pg. 85 would change to {{sfn|Lipow |1982 |p=85}} that would produce this footnote.[1] This shortened footnote (see References below) would link in turn to:
  • Lipow, Arthur (1982). Authoritarian socialism in America : Edward Bellamy & the nationalist movement. Berkeley: University of California Press. ISBN 9780520040052. OCLC 7272851.

I intend to forge ahead with this slowly over the next few weeks or so.
