Number of teams

[edit]

Seven "cities" are listed for 1895 and 1902, nominally seven teams. Were those six-team leagues, each with one mid-season shift? Seven-team leagues? Eight with two in one city? Or do they represent clerical errors? Seven teams would be astonishing. Simply in order to allay the suspicion of clerical errors the numbers of contestants should be specified. That is the numbers of league members at one time.--P64 (talk) 00:41, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dismissal of umpire

[edit]

For any editor who want to expand the article, I came across a related newspaper article. The Michigan State League dismissed Bob Williams, umpire, for "the good of the league" during the 1940 season. Bob305 (talk) 15:44, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
