You should also include the Addiction Recovery Program, administered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. https://addictionrecovery.lds.org/steps/1?lang=eng

Actually we should NOT include the "Addiction Recovery Program, administered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints." 12-Step programs also have the 12 Traditions, of which the long form of Tradition 3 (for AA) states in part, "Any two or three alcoholics gathered together for sobriety may call themselves an A.A. group, provided that, as a group, they have no other affiliation." Other 12-step programs also say the same thing. In fact SLAA considers the no-other-affiliation part to be so important that they brought it into the short form of the 12 Traditions. Clearly the "Addiction Recovery Program" violates this Tradition since it is not only affiliated with but also administered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

See http://www.aa.org/assets/en_US/en_tradition_longform.pdf for the AA Traditions long form.

See http://www.slaafws.org/download/core-files/The_Twelve_Traditions_of_SLAA.pdf for the short form of the SLAA Traditions.

Twelve Traditions

[edit]

Those would also be a good addition to this article. Maybe even the Promises and Concepts. -- Scarpy (talk) 18:16, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
