The author to this article hasn´t understood the Spanish surnaming system at all. Leopoldo Morquillas Rubio main surname -the father's surname-, for instance, is Morquillas. Therefore, there was no Republican fighter pilot called "Leopoldo Rubio" (and no Francoist flyers called Joaquín Morato,Ángel Larrazábal, etc.). When the main surmane is rather common (García, López, etc.), the mother's surname can be used together with the Father's surname: Ángel Salas Larrazábal, Manuel Vázquez Sagastizábal, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.142.175.22 (talk) 12:26, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Joaquín Morato

[edit]

His correct surname was García-Morato (Joaquín García-Morato y Castaño). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.142.175.22 (talk) 10:39, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the Republican fighter pilot F. Tarazona (6 kills)? And J. Comas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.142.175.22 (talk) 10:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

James L.H. Peck

[edit]

The only source for corroborating Peck's 5 kills is Peck himself...
