Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on July 1, 2008.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that Boston Celtics head coaches Red Auerbach (pictured) and Bill Fitch were named to the list of the Top 10 Coaches in NBA history?

Spurs

[edit]

At List of Boston Celtics head coaches#Legend it says that an asterisk means that the coach has "Spent entire coaching career with the Spurs". Several Celtics coaches below are so marked. Does that mean the San Antonio Spurs? How could a Celtic coach have spent his entire coaching career with another team, and still be a Celtic coach? When I click the coach articles, none of them coached any team called "Spurs", and 2 of them didn't spend their entire coaching career with the Celtics either. But the edit doesn't seem to be vandalism, especially when the editor's other positive contributions to this article are considered. So what was intended here? It's fixed now. It must have been a simple copy and paste error from List of San Antonio Spurs head coaches. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 21:12, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awkward sentence

[edit]

"Auerbach is the franchise's all-time leader in both regular-season and playoff games coached and wins." -- Does this mean he is the leader in regular season games coached, regular season games won, playoff games coached, and playoff games won? It's not clear to me (and the link doesn't show me anything). What is the function of "both" is in that sentence? Dante Brand (talk) 02:21, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
