Possible cause of her Anorexia Nervosa

[edit]

New research shows that women who were born in the spring were many times more likely to develop anorexia. As this study shows, the worst month is March, which is when she was born.

"voted the best rock drummer in a poll"

[edit]

Questionable, see https://forum.amcorner.com/threads/claims-that-karen-carpenter-won-playboy-drummer-poll-are-probably-false-but-they-shouldnt-be.18513/ --2A02:3100:85BE:ED00:F401:DD8:5DA4:1F42 (talk) 10:26, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have confirmed this error and updated the article with a direct citation of the relevant Playboy issue and page number:
  • Hentoff, Nat (February 1975). "Jazz & Pop '75 All-Star Readers' Poll". Playboy. 22 (5). Playboy Enterprises: 165.

I looked further into this and it turns out Karen was ranked in these Playboy annual polls every year from 1974 to 1980. I updated the article to reflect that, though I'm not sure if these reader polls are notable enough to warrant a mention.--Muchness (talk) 14:39, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
