Wireless mics/guitars

[edit]

I just removed the sentence relating to wireless mics and guitars, as it gives the impression that they can be used to mitigate a disconnected earth. Whilst it is true that a vocalist won't get a shock from a wireless mic in a system with an earth fault, the correct course of action in such a case would be to repair the earth fault, not to switch to a radio mic.

Also, I think a greater distinction between 'ground-lifting', a valid practice used the world over by audio professionals, and 'disconnecting the earth in a plug', a dangerous and stupid practice, could be made in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.7.209.82 (talk) 16:13, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
