Are heat pumps within scope?

Are heat pumps within scope of the article? I ask this because the lead seems to clearly define geothermal energy as energy sourced from deep underground, and if this is the case then ground source heat pumps are not really relevant (even though the alternative term, 'geothermal heat pump', does suggest that it should be relevant). Personally I think the heat pump related content should either be removed or caveated to make it clear that these devices do not harness heat from deep in the earth. Thoughts? I have removed the reference to ground source heat pumps in the history section for the reason outlined above. I have however augmented the history section of the ground source heat pump article with any additional relevant information from this article. PeterEastern (talk) 07:40, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Geothermal energy how to pronounce 2409:4063:239C:A6B6:0:0:141:30B1 (talk) 05:56, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

I don't think we need that as the pronunciation is regular. Even Americans can pronounce it - we are not talking Worcestershire sauce. Chidgk1 (talk) 08:26, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
