Death of George Rhoads

[edit]

According to obituaries in two Ithaca, NY USA newspapers (where Rhoads used to live and work), he died on July 9, 2021 at age 95 in Chinon, France. URLs to the online versions of these obituaries are below. Can someone make the necessary changes to reflect this information in the article text, infobox, and citations, since I don't know how.

Added. Thanks! - Poydoo can talk and edit 19:03, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick followup, Poydoo. I noticed that several references in the article (at present, numbers 5, 6, 10, and 11) as well as the website link in the infobox, are dead. The infobox website link was captured by the Internet Archive fairly recently (https://web.archive.org/web/20210506022548/http://www.georgerhoads.com/). I haven't checked the others. Should these be updated, or will a bot eventually come along and fix them automatically? 68.175.141.246 (talk) 20:01, 24 July 2021 (UTC) NPOV-fan[reply]
I added some dead link tags. I'm not sure there's anything else to do about them. - Poydoo can talk and edit 18:47, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Exercise in Fugality or Frugality?

[edit]

One of his listed public works reads "Exercise in Fugality, Logan Airport, Terminal A, Boston, Massachusetts", at the moment. Does anyone know if it's supposed to be frugality, instead of fugality, or is it correct? Editrite! (talk) 06:19, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, 'Fugality' is correct, according to Google. - Poydoo can talk and edit 14:51, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

George Rhoads illustrations

[edit]

George Rhoads was a member of Jane Roberts' "ESP class" in the 1970s and his illustrations of class members as well as whimsical sketches appeared in both volumes of Susan M. Watkins' books Conversations with Seth written about that class not just "Book Two."

Also, some of his whimsical sketches were published in the zine Sumari BULLetin published by Mark M ca. 1987.

Example Rhoads sketch with permission from the publisher of the zine:
