Grammatical edit

[edit]

Changed "The cheese are made..." to "The cheese is made..." in the first line of paragraph 3 of the introduction, for proper subject-verb agreement. I didn't have the presence of mind to enter that in the summary field for the edition. 64.65.222.210 17:12, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wow this cheese sounds yummy!

I think in the AOC requirements fertilization has been mistakenly used instead of some terms defining how much fertilizer, or similar is used on the pasture. Certinly as currently written this use of the word fertilization makes no sense whatsoever - the link is to reproductive processes, and entirely inappropriate.

Term "Shepherd"

[edit]

It seems odd that the cheese is historically made by shepherds, since the cheese is made from cow's milk, not sheep's milk. Please verify that the correct term was used? Mark.camp (talk) 23:50, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed this a while back under the grading section. I contacted the Comte association so that they would allow use of the image in wikicommons. I then made composite picture of the two grades. B A Thuriaux (talk) 21:21, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Map of AOC area

[edit]

Sorry, but the map of the File:Territoire AOC Comté.svg, added by User:Oaktree b, looks to me a bit meaningless without some larger context or place-name annotation? It could be anywhere. It looks like a random green shape. Could some context be added in some way? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:02, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
