Initial eval

[edit]

This looks like a valuable article, but it also looks very cluttered at the moment. There is a bit more blue than is really desirable, but more importantly, there are more references than is good. Note that WP:MEDRS calls for preferentially using review articles as sources rather than primary research articles -- experience has shown that following this rule greatly improves the maintainability of articles. I don't want this to come across as overly critical, just as a suggestion for a direction to go in. Looie496 (talk) 15:17, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article talks about "persistent elevation of blood pressure" but does not give any numerical values for pressure or time. Xxanthippe (talk) 00:52, 6 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]
I don't think that it necessarily needs to define hypertension: we already have an article that does that. The superfluity of refs does make it hard to read, though. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:03, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article does not need a definition. It does need numerical values. i.e. x mm/Hg for y months. Xxanthippe (talk) 22:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Last Section

[edit]

The final section of this article doesn't read very well. Some of it seems questionable also, particularly the line 'The combination of diabetes and smoking usually leads to amputations of the toes and feet'. However, I'm not qualified in this area enough to feel I should remove it outright without expert input. Can anyone advise? Tkenna (talk) 20:25, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Although referenced, the entire diabetes section is unencyclopedic and sometimes dubious, as if it has been derived from some public health propaganda leaflet. --Ef80 (talk) 14:22, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
