I am unable to discover the precise date of foundation. It is listed on Medline as Clin Sci (Lond): 1979. Abstracts are available at the journal webpage from that date, presumably when the Biochemical Society started publishing it, but list the volume as 56. Presumably it went under a different title previously? Espresso Addict 17:18, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now got history back to 1933, but still don't have date of foundation. The early title of Heart has now been taken by a later journal. Espresso Addict 07:42, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now got the date and precise first title; a better reference would be useful, though. Espresso Addict 08:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Early history mostly now supported by Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Espresso Addict 12:35, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
