Schools

[edit]

Just wondering why someone removed the link to Christa McAuliffe's name on the middle school Bunnygod888 04:08, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did the link actually link to a wikipedia article on the school? If it did not provide a link to an article, that could be why the link was removed.Dogru144 (talk) 06:22, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up needed

[edit]

Schools: the list needs to be corrected to show only those schools within the town boundary. Example Park Vista Community High is NOT within Boynton Beach. It is located in unincorporated Palm Beach County and has a Lake Worth 33467 postal address. That area is generally known by the unofficial name of West Boynton, and gives its name to COWBRA, the Coalition of West Boynton Residents Associations, which in turn was the inspiration for the Park Vista athletics teams, the Cobras. History section: Much of the History of Boynton Beach, after its initial settlement, seems to be missing here (ex. growth along Congress Ave. in 1980's through today, current Downtown revitalization). Also, curious why the reference to Hurricane Wilma still appears on the page. The storm passed through Palm Bch. County almost 3 yrs. ago and restoration/clean-up was swift. I guess nobody has taken enough interest in the article. If you have access to reliable sources you can edit the article yourself. -- Donald Albury 14:46, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

demographics in error

[edit]

I live in boynton beach. first off, there are alot of haitians, meaning alot of creole speaker. much greater that 7 percent. second, the white people are only here in the winter. if they are residents they are only for the 6 months required for taxes and dont stay any longer. a low percentage of the snow birds actually stay for 6 months and become residents. boynton beach is primary black with a very large Haitian immigrant population.24.127.209.87 (talk) 15:43, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LOL first off there is NO requirement to live here or stay here for six months for taxes...that is a fallacy and is NOT true. One need only have their tax home in Florida to claim as a homestead. You apparently know nothing about PBC and are ignorant of the IRS requirements for tax home and Florida, to claim a homestead. Sorry. morons is what you are. the controversy section is unnecessary

[edit]

I feel the controversy section is unnecessary and the incident mentioned under it doesn't belong in the main article. There are hundreds if not thousands of incidents like this in almost every major city, why this was deemed worthy of being included is puzzling. 51.252.182.78 (talk) 19:28, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you point to hundreds or thousands of examples of incidents in which a black leader was commemorated in an art piece as if they were a white person? How about one example? This incident happened less than 5 years ago, it's still recent and relevant.SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 23:31, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
