Article circumscription and title

[edit]

I added Phytoseiulus persimilis to the list on this article, then realised afterwards that of course it isn't an insect. What should this article be about and what should its title be? Certainly in horticulture it would be normal to consider all cultivated beneficial invertebrates together under the term "biological control", thus not applying consideration only to insects. I'm inclined to think that an article on this topic should attempt coverage of something similarly broad, but then if so what should become of this article; should it change its title and scope, or just be merged with Biological pest control? Mantids

[edit]

Hi @Nosferattus: This seemed fine to me. Certainly my impression is that they're one of the quintessential beneficials. I don't have anything to back that up though. If you have any <ref> for them being doubted, that by itself would be worth including in the article. "Although mantids are often thought to be beneficial, ..." kind of thing.
