Is this article going to be an exhausting summary of battleship actions during the Second World War? --Harlsbottom (talk | library)

The current text has been moved across from the Battleship article. I think that the article should discuss the development of the Battleships which fought in the war, the roles the BBs played and their overall effectiveness. Nick Dowling (talk) 11:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We should not duplicate the articles on the individual battles. It may be that some battle articles could be improved by moving material from here. I think this article could do with much more on the design and modification of battleships along with the development of naval strategy and a bit less on operations. For whatever it's worth, the title implies an overview of the theory and development of the battleship in World War II as opposed to World War I and the inter war years and the post World War II era. That is what I came here seeking.Naaman Brown (talk) 22:28, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, never seen this article until now. When I saw the title I envisaged an article covering the role, evolution and a narrative history of battleship activities in WW2. It seems to address these areas to some extent, but it has very uneven coverage (Mediterranean anyone?). Wiki-Ed (talk) 00:20, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
